I thought he was superb on the left tonight mate. Small things, little runs, little touches.

Koeman is having him play all over the place and the kid is learning at a tremendous pace. He might only put in 1 top drawer performance every 3/4 games at the minute but you can see it in things he does, Koeman has got this kid and absolutely loves him becsuse it's not just talent, it's in game nouse he's picking up.

Just my opinion though mate ;)

i thought he was ok on the left like seems to be gaining confidence, just prefer him to him as striker myself

Just an annoyance from managers we've had that play players out of position when theres no need to thats all

But Marsh this is what tactics is all about and with 3 games in a week it's all about the manager putting players where he thinks they can do a job, and he obviously did a job in that position last night so I really don't see where you're coming from, whose to say what his best position is, Rooney as well is going to be playing all over the park this season be prepared..

I know as we've seen with Rooney already he plays about 3 different positions a game. We'll just have to wait and see with Calvert-Lewin but i think his preferred position will be upfront rather than tracking back and being out on the wing.

Its like when Koeman says we needed a left footed defender to cover both centre back and Baines, I'd prefer to just get a centre back and a left back and when totally necessary they may be able to do a job in a different position.

The lad is versatile, he played well, we won the game, we're in the group stages, what exactly are you complaining about?
Just about covers all that need to be said at the moment...He's still in the 'Potential' stages yet, so who knows what will happen in the long run/

The seeming lack of a Plan B after Giroud is a bit of a worry though...but that's not DCL's fault.

Hopefully we get some degsy before the window closes. I'm still quite excited by thebkast 2 draws knowing Sandro hasn't even featured yet.

But the 2 signings he wants I hope we get

Have to agree. I thought he looks a different player this season... Exudes confidence.. Dunno where it's come from but I like it. As far as everyone playing out of position I also have to agree. We have a smallish 1st squad and Koeman had the tactics spot on imo. Look to frustrate them and get them on the counter.. but at the same time attempt to control the tempo to a crawl. We have Chelsea away on the horizon so needed to get a result without another energy zapping slog here.
Happy so far, Was a little bum clenched at times but job done.

Not a winger but it would help if he and Baines communicated a bit down the left.

The amount of times they didn't play the ball early enough last night was frustrating.
