Donald Trump for President Thread

That's not the point.

There's very little to discern US & UK's political right-wing. Their policies are basically the same. Corporate over & above the individual.

The: 'You are what you own' mantra.

The only difference is how they go about it. We know the septics like to be all mouthy. Here in blighty (And Europe in general, but especially in the UK) they just sneak things in a bit quieter.

Recently though, there's been an increase in this government trying to 'steamroller' their policies through. Especially with welfare & the NHS. And look at the results they've had when they've attempted it.

There is a massive difference between almost every aspect of US and UK politics. Even the broad strokes stuff. You certainly wouldn't see a Republican president trying to push gay marriage through, support abortion, oppose the death penalty and support calls for climate action. The toy-throwing from socialists after Cameron won your democratic election was insane, and it's apparently still going on.

Two words, mate. The biggest two-worded bullsh1t line that there ever was, and ever will be. And it looks like you've bought rarr into it.

The words are:

'Compassionate conservatism' :bye:

Indeed. The difference between the two, mainly on social issues, is vast. Economically too, there's a huge gulf. Sadly, some people don't seem to understand US (or indeed British) politics... :hayee:

"Our democratic election?!" Was it hell...under our outdated and antiquated system Cameron and his band of millionaires and snobs won just 34% of the popular vote- by your comment on "toy throwing Socialists" you do not know a lot about this country's politics.....we actually have proper opposition to the tories instead of vacuous blairite nonentities.

It sure was! You lads just started questioning its integrity when you didn't get the result you wanted. Ho hum
I did not question the integrity, i questioned a system which allows a party with the minority of the popular vote to run us into the ground by destroying our NHS, toadying up to their banking chums, blaming those least able to fight back, and voting to join in with a futile bombing mission in Syria which the good ole usa has been doing for ages with no discernable difference to IS.
