Donald Trump for President Thread

I agree with you. It's pathetic to sign a pettion because you disagree with someone's opinion or because you are offended. Go move to a country that doesn't allow free speech.

Besides, this is a political move by Trump. He's a smart man (even if he doesn't look or sound smart). Everytime he takes an extreme position on something, he grabs all of the headlines, shows leadership and makes the other politicians talk about him and also sets them up to defend Islam or illegal immigrants and then his approval ratings rise.

Ron Paul is my favorite American politician.
I quite like listening to ron paul, buthis views on healthcare are a bit vague, especially for a former doctor, he just seems to repeat his mantra that the church took care of people, that level of small goverment thinking just isnt practical in modern western society where the elite are so entrenched

I do not think he should be banned - give him the chance to make an even bigger arse of himself than he's doing already....anyway his monetary and business/corporate chums wont be allowing him to be their stooge president anytime soon. Put him on a platform with our very own comedy hair politician Boris - and re enact Sweeney Todd ha ha !

How on earth does one identify a person as being a Muslim or a Christian or a Jew or indeed any religion if you wanted to ban them from entering your country? What is the test? How do you know what a person's religion is or indeed if they have a religion at all? Trump makes Boris look slightly intelligent...

Trevor Noah on The Daily Show suggested that they will ask the if they are muslim, with the security questions that follow being about how many of Santa's reindeer that they can name.

As an aside, did anyone see the segment the day before with Jon Stewart going around Congress trying to get the healthcare provisions for 9/11 first responders renewed? It was utterly magnificent; the kind of angry, brutal comedy that the political class should be on the end of a lot more of.

Ford tells Trump his role as US president in a film 'was just a movie'
10 December 2015 Last updated at 09:31 GMT

Harrison Ford has told US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump that his role as the US president in Air Force One was just "a movie".

Speaking to The New York Times recently, Trump praised Ford's role as a heroic president in the film.

He told the newspaper: "My favourite was Harrison Ford on the plane. I love Harrison Ford. He stood up for America".

Donald Trump claims 'I'm doing good for the Muslims' as petition to ban him from UK passes 380,000 signatures
'Many Muslim friends of mine say, 'Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic.'

Donald Trump has claimed that his Muslim friends think his suggestion to bar every foreign member of the religion from entering the US is “fantastic”.
The American Presidential candidate was continuing to defend himself as the number of signatures on petition calling on the UK to ban him from visiting the country passed 380,000.
It has been signed by people from every area of Britain, analysis showed, and will be considered for debate in the House of Commons.
Demand to back the petition was so high that the government website hosting it crashed several times on Wednesday.1As global condemnation of Trump’s comments continued he defended himself from racism accusations in an interview on CNN News.
“I am the least racist person that you have ever met," he said.
“I'm doing good for the Muslims…many Muslim friends of mine are in agreement with me. They say, 'Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic.'”
Trump also claimed that while world leaders, including David Cameron, the UN Secretary-General and Benjamin Netanyahu have criticised him, the American people have not.
“The group that is not criticising me is the public,” he said.
“The public agrees with what I said. They saw those two animals (in San Bernardino) last week go out and shoot people.”
That assertion did not seem to be reported by damning newspaper headlines across the US and several Twitter trends being used to mock the politician.
The Republican Presidential hopeful was also ridiculed for claiming that parts of London and Paris are “so radicalised” police officers are “afraid for their very lives”

Surely he HAS to be President.

His leadership skills are simply phenomenal, he now has all of his political rivals praising Islam and if you think the common American even knows where Syria is on a map you'd be wrong.

They dont care about Syria, they care about America and the twin towers etc...he's really going to get the nomination now...

Guns + anti islam = Nomination.

Then its going to be excellent viewing when hes up against Clinton...

Have to say also i looked at Katie Hopkins article just now (who is she?!!?) And she's not wrong and neither is trump in terms at least of "media perception" of London being unsafe.

It wasnt such a safe place 15 years ago but the last couple of times ive been back it certainly hasnt been "safe". The media portrayal of it seems like Gotham City as well...

Back 20 years ago places like ipswich were quiet towns and very peaceful....15 years ago loads of londoners had moved there and crime increased....10 years ish ago when i was back there it had a nasty edge to it at night....5 years ago most of my friends had moved away and the ones still there didnt go into town at night...

Not sure on the "muslim" angle but these police officers coming out and saying they cant wear uniforms in their cars in some places out of fear is a dramatic change over 20 years.

London isn't unsafe in the slightest (from someone that lives here).

I thought you'd have been more likely to comment on "Gotham City" mate.

Guess you've moved to London to clean up the streets...

Ive never lived there but wouldnt be on places to move to...

London isn't unsafe in the slightest (from someone that lives here).
