I feel sorry for Americans. They don't have much of a choice for who to vote for.

Out of all of them, Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders look the best candidates. Although, I lost respect for Sanders when he let two black lives matter protesters interrupt his conference.

I honestly don't know who I'd vote for if I were American.

Not sure that is a legitimate criticism of Sanders - what was he meant to do, shoot them? Lock them away on some spurious pretext until they died suddenly?

Sanders is the only one over there I could stomach voting for - Paul is many things, sadly this includes being an inoffensive, diet version of his dad.

It's a sign of how small minded people are who dismiss Trump. Regardless of his politics he represents the American Dream. America is/was the Land of the free and of opportunity, not the land of welfare and security.

Personally I think that a lot of things will happen in the next 12 months that will cause America (and the world) to reassess many of its core progressive values and make the case for people like Trump.

I find it rather incredulous that the presidency will have been almost monopolised by the Bush and Clinton dynasties over the last couple of generations in a nation of 350m people... Politics today is a patriarchal system rather than a democratic one.
