Donald Trump for President Thread

Bernie lost. There is no denying that. Even if the DNC didn't pull any crap Bernie still would have lost. However Bernie also got a hell of lot of votes. So you know Hillary campaign you might want a look at some of the issues they support and/or brought up to bring them into the fold instead of treating them with distain all the while focusing on courting these magical neocons who hate Trump so much that they won't vote for him, you know all 12 of them.

Running a "I suck but that guy is a Nazi" campaign isn't going to work. Besides when many members of your own party think that in your 1st day of office you'll point at a country that's full of brown people and immediately send in the B-2s, that attack of Trump seems a little like pot meeting kettle.
It seems the Democrats are taking inspiration from the Labour party in the 2015 UK general election. The campaign could basically be summed up as we'll do the same as them but we will be slower and nicer about it.
They are assuming that those who would have voted Bernie, will vote Clinton as the lesser of two evils, they won't, they just won't turn vote at all.

The Washington Post describes the atmosphere of fear now haunting the Hillary campaign in the aftermath of an email dump showing how the DNC swindled Sanders. A team of writers note "the anxiety for Democrats: Are more leaks to come?"

Activists and campaign officials, anxious about what leaks may be yet to come, also worried about the alleged involvement of the Russian government, with campaign officials suggesting that the Kremlin was releasing the documents to damage Clinton’s candidacy. National security experts, while cautious about leaping to premature conclusions, warned of the possibility of a significant escalation in an ongoing information war.

If the Russians were behind the leaks, said former CIA director Michael Hayden, “they’re clearly taking their game to another level. It would be weaponizing information.” He added: “You don’t want a foreign power affecting your election. We have laws against that.”

It is doubtful that Putin is worried but anyone in Washington who once knew a skeleton is now looking over his shoulder. "As journalists and political operators pored over the 20,000 emails leaked from the servers of the Democratic National Convention, one Democratic staffer frantically searched for his name. It was only when he failed to find it, that he began to fear for the worst." The suspense was excruciating.

“Like everyone in D.C., I immediately searched my name,” said the strategist who works with the DNC. “I wasn’t in there which I was happy about, until I realized just how sinister this leak actually was.”

The staffer, like cybersecurity officials who spoke to BuzzFeed News, said the leaks were sinister because those behind the attack might be drip-feeding the emails to the public to create maximum damage for the Clinton campaign. ...

The question now is what comes next — according to the security firm Crowdstrike, the hackers were parked in the DNC servers for months, raising the possibility that there may still be more emails to come, potentially some that are fabricated.

On the eve of Hillary's coronation her courtiers are suddenly waking up to the fact that she cannot protect them. The shock may be intentional. If Putin was indeed behind the hacking he is only doing what underdogs through history have done to even the odds. Unable to match the foe in weight, he went for the king, or in this case the queen.

I was referring to him caving into the Clinton machine. He banged on and on about changing the status quo and how he was going to fight all the way through the convention to try to win super delegates...which all amounted to him endorsing hillary.

Bill Clinton does the business.....

News thump....

The Democratic party was celebrating last night after Bill Clinton managed to endorse Hillary Clinton without committing adultery.

The well-up-for-it former President of the United States drew a standing ovation for the endorsement of his wife, not least because he managed to get through the evening without spunking on someone’s dress.

“It was touch and go for a minute, if you’ll pardon the pun,” said Democratic spokesperson, Chuck Williams.

“Around the six-minute mark, he spotted a vaguely attractive woman in the crowd and had to grip the podium that little bit harder, but he got through it like the trooper he is.

“Of course, he had a raging erection the entire time, but then that’s what podiums are for: to hide boners. Bernie Sanders was rock hard for pretty much his whole campaign but nobody was any the wiser.

“God bless podiums.”

Mr Clinton was noticeably sweating toward the end of the speech, after which he rushed offstage to bury himself in a deluge of hardcore pornography.

I think that last bit is a bit mistaken. I feel like there will be a significant % of people voting for either Gary Johnson or Jill Stein this year as a way to put a 'screw you two parties if you think THAT is what the majority of this country want'.

A very insignificant percentage of the population will vote for those candidates.

Trump will win the election if the Democrats don't turn up at the polls.

That's the worst stance in my opinion. You're not really doing anything by not showing up all you're doing is just not showing up. By voting for somebody else who is not Hillary or Trump then you're actually making a stand and put your money where your mouth is proverbially. Also in my case I don't think anybody has the right to complain if they don't actually vote.
