Confirmed Signing Donny van de Beek

Could be a very good signing for us. I don’t think any of our central midfielders are much good, and I could see Donny being a regular for us, if we take him on loan. He isn’t the quickest, but he is better on the ball than those we have in that position, and more mobile than the likes of Gomes, so cetainly worth getting imo. He should be highly motivated to take his chance, some United fans say he hasn’t really had one. Well worth a punt, we badly need whatever quality he can offer. I’m not saying he will control a game, but he could help us keep possession alot better, Ajax players are drilled with pass and move (and he isn’t Davy Klaasen)

If Frankie wants him and thinks he can do a job for him then its all fine with me. Get him signed up. ;)

….it takes lung busting effort, desire and attitude to continually make the runs Lampard did over the extent of his career. Players get the rewards but the vast majority of those runs end with the ball not arriving.

It also takes intelligence. A sense of when to arrive behind the play to where the ball will drop.

So you've already decided that's the plan? The way every club evaluates players is to loan them, at a cost of millions, for 6 months and then decide whether to buy them for the guaranteed £25M fee you've decided on?

The same way Palace bought Guehi, Andersen, Eduard, Olise and all their other signings over the last couple of years. All 6 month evaluation loans with transfer afterwards? The same way every club does their due diligence on transfers?

Or could it be that they'd like Van De Beek in as he's immediately available to strengthen their squad this window rather than a transfer policy based around evaluation loans that you've made up in your head?

I think you miss the point slightly mate, If there was an option to loan all of the above, before committing fees to them, do you think they would do that? Of course they would.

Currently the option is there for Van Der Beek.
