….it takes lung busting effort, desire and attitude to continually make the runs Lampard did over the extent of his career. Players get the rewards but the vast majority of those runs end with the ball not arriving.

It also helps with the players that played with Lampard during his time at Chelsea. However even in his later years he was still getting double figures from midfield. Obviously he wouldn’t have had the fitness or speed of his earlier years, but obviously he perfected the art of when to make his runs.

Why should Van de beek chose Everton instead of Palace?

1. Conor Gallagher.
He has been one of PL’s best ATM this season so can’t see that DVB would take his place in the opening selection. The main reason for his lack of playing time in ManU is Bruno Fernandes and the risk that situation would be the same at Palace is obvious.

2. Lampard vs Viera.
I don’t think Lampard is a superior manager to Viera but in this situation you assume he would have an unbiased view of the squad so every player starting from zero trying convince him to be in the starting eleven.

3.Moving.
If he choose Everton he don’t have move and when summer comes he will back fighting for his place in United under a new manager. Also as his girlfriend expecting a baby speaks for that he wouldn’t like to move to London for a few months.

Doucoure is the box to box of the team anyway, my concern would be that we dont have a REAL anchor. or a proper #10.

I'm not saying DVB should be the only midfielder we sign, but I can see why we've gone for him.

Davies is awful and injured
Gbamin is injured and most likely awful.
Delph is okay but injured.
Onyango, completely unproven.

I'm all for another midfielder.
