The Athletic article also mentions that Frank wants to play 3 in midfield (could be 2 sitting and one as a #10 or a flatter 3) but that he wants one of his mids to pick up pockets of space to create opportunities.

Think he'll be a good signing, hope we've thrown a cheeky agreed fee in there however that's unlikely given that United and currently crapping their pants about selling anyone, even Lingard, lest it bite them in the bum. Almost as weird a club as us.

Probably both.

He’s more similar to a Lampard type player than Vieira. Palace have Gallagher playing in the position he probably wants to play as well.

I’m waiting for him to pull his calf in the first game and then be out for the remainder of his loan after he receives “ treatment “ from or medical team

Think it’s more that they don’t want to do anything that might help keep Newcastle up. Been a lot of chat about teams wanting to kick the Saudi money impact down the road
