I'd rather have James McArthur and I'm not even really joking. But if we're being serious and talking about Doucoure for what he is, which is a box to box type whose value really only comes when he's doing things in the final third, well that's Conor Gallagher too and Gallagher is clearly better.

I don't know who is better right now between us and Palace. If we're building for the future I'm taking Palace and I don't have to spend any time thinking about it.

It's a lot closer than we'd all want it to be. No offense to Palace meant with that. I'm glad they've found a way to be the smart club we can't be.
 
Not sure why Palace are even after him, they seem to have so many players that they need to rotate already. Suspect he’ll come here as he walks into our first XI in a 4-3-3, as the most advanced of the midfield 3. We need anyone in there with a semblance of quality, and he has it.

I'm really not sure they are. If you're assuming James and Digne are staying than sure.

I mean I'm also just assuming Palace are going to stop screwing around now and play Olise more or less every week. His quality instead of Ayew edges it further toward Palace.

He has the physicality that Davie Boy lacked though mate. Much better player in pretty much every regard imo

Palace will likely be looking ahead as Viera seems a smart bloke, end of season they lose Gallagher back to Chelsea and he's been a massive part of that team, so getting in his replacement beforehand?
 
At the moment I think we are so short on available players in cm area this move makes total sense, I know we would have to pay his wages but it’s fairly low risk
