….chuffed if he signs, lack of pace a concern but as you say he has the bulk and physicality to cope. Quality in possession, comfortable in tight situations and can pick a pass.
He actually seems to have the right mentality too which is rare for Dutch players, still hope to see Gilmour arrive alongside him like having two central players who can actually do something on the ball would be a change.

With Gray and Gordon plus the two new fullbacks we've actually got a bit of pace now in the side at least.

Not sure why Palace are even after him, they seem to have so many players that they need to rotate already. Suspect he’ll come here as he walks into our first XI in a 4-3-3, as the most advanced of the midfield 3. We need anyone in there with a semblance of quality, and he has it.
This is my take on it. While people may raise doubts about his lack of pace, from what I've seen he has other attributes that will hopefully benefit us .

We know the midfield is a weaknesses, so a player with strength and quality on the ball is much needed. He appears to have a good attitude too.

Im pretty sure I could select 9 players from Palace's squad that wouldnt get in our squad as well.

Our first 11 is superior.
You're saying this because you're thinking about DCL, Gray, Richarlison...

Our Midfield is non-existent and our defence is porous, and that makes their first eleven better...

No point in having a potentially potent front three, and the midfield cannot find them, and the defence keeps on leaking goals.

Why should Van de beek chose Everton instead of Palace?

1. Conor Gallagher.
He has been one of PL’s best ATM this season so can’t see that DVB would take his place in the opening selection. The main reason for his lack of playing time in ManU is Bruno Fernandes and the risk that situation would be the same at Palace is obvious.

2. Lampard vs Viera.
I don’t think Lampard is a superior manager to Viera but in this situation you assume he would have an unbiased view of the squad so every player starting from zero trying convince him to be in the starting eleven.

3.Moving.
If he choose Everton he don’t have move and when summer comes he will back fighting for his place in United under a new manager. Also as his girlfriend expecting a baby speaks for that he wouldn’t like to move to London for a few months.

Unless we’re buying one of them that can’t happen.

Hope we sign him cos I hate that Palace lad on twitter, you know who I mean.

Not looking forward to swathes on, ‘Danny On De Beek’ shouts every time he scoops one into the upper Gwladys though

I would be surprised if he chose Palace over us to be honest, Lampard, unfinished business with not being able to come here previously, won’t have to move house.

Would not blame the lad if he went to Palace though
