Van de Beek was creative at Ajax but I did compare him to Klaassen and got some pelters for it. He's better than Klaassen but he needs to play in a certain role to be creative really.
That being said he was excellent against Leeds and City but tosh v S'ton and Spurs (the latter playing in the same midfield three that he had impressed in v City the previous week). That Wolves game was poor too but in his defence he was constantly showing for the ball and asking for it and Doucoure would take 17 touches before just passing it backwards.
He's not started any other games for us which, sadly tells its own story - but he's only been available for one since Wolves, which was the Leicester game.

After the Leeds and City games, I had high hopes for him, but it appears that he's unlikely to play for us again. As a loan player, is he going to be committed?

He is a shining example of the luck we've had this year as he looked like he would be able to save us. Usually there is no excuses when you don't accumulate enough points to stay up, but our injury record has been simply horrific and VAR has been weaponised against us.
Why are people acting like he’s rubbish?

Just because we lost against Southampton, City and Wolves doesn’t mean he didn’t look like a good player.
Obviously he was great against Leeds but I thought he was excellent against City.
Basically, he looked bright, everyone was being positive, now he’s missed a few games and most are saying he was rubbish and alluding to him faking an injury because Ten Hag will want to play him ?

I thought he was good in the first half versus Leeds, didn’t see any of that excellence against City, seen him shout for the ball in other games and also saw him hide in those games, I bet Man. Unt. can’t hide their excitement with the news he will playing for them next season. Another signing on fee and big wages wasted again by Everton as we look back on the “ Good times” that Billy Boy reminded us of.
Think this is spot on, got his eye on Ten Haag for Utd and I guess for him, knowing Ten Haag, makes sense.
@GrandOldTeam said something similar too when his new injury was first reported. We might be doing him a disservice, but it’s plausible at least.

Makes sense for him basically. Can't disagree with your comment, it's just another player we have 'signed', in a long list of players, who have been not a lot of use to us.
