I think the difference here will be the atmosphere for a knock out against a decent team rather than a home draw against reading the other year when no one was up for it and we lost. I think we'll beat them and the crowd will finally play 12th man

Nice to see the media starting to support the rent boys, ahead of our game against them, takes me back to 95,they were all backing Spurs for the final, and we gave them a right going over, under the radar lads, that's the way to go.

Chelsea are going to batter us. This competition is now their priority. They'll beat us about 6-1.

What was their priority early season when we smashed them 3-1 at Goodison mate?
What was their priority when we turned up at their place and got robbed by a goal that never should have been - to only draw 3-3? when European footy was over a ,month away for them?

You're not going to win a trophy without some point beating a quality team or two. Tell you what though it isn't a given that Arsenal will beat Hull and with either Reading or Palace in the semi draw and United looking very ordinary, get through this tie and we have a great chance.

Defo and lets be honest its not like we haven't given them a game the last couple of matches - regardless of my feelings about the way the last match finished and how on earth we managed to draw it, if we run into a 2-0 lead at Goodison i would want to think we can see it through.

The stats don't lie, we have no problem scoring against Chelski, and our defending has greatly improved, we are in the best shape we've been this season to face them.

We've already done the double over them this season, the Terry goal should not have stood.
....aye, there's the rub. Money OWNS modern-day football : Chelsea have truckloads, we have little. There's NO way the bought-and-paid for governance that run this venal game allow plucky Everton anything beyond :" they put up a plucky fight" narrative. It annoys me that compatriot Goters permit such largesse. It's all bent friends...bent beyond repair....money does that.

Probably the worst possible draw. They've actually hit form now and crucially, out of the bigger teams, they're the only ones who are taking the FA Cup seriously as it's all they have left.

FFS.

Seriously mate?

Eerrrrm yeah they have been terrifying, since we drew 3-3 all with them and got robbed by the linesman

Played 75 minutes against a ten man Arsenal and won 1-0
0-0 away draw at Watford
1-1 draw at home to a United in terrible shape
and battered a Newcastle team who have been absolutely terrible

Cup results, got battered and fluked away a 2-1 loss in Paris, and battered a Man City under 21's side who held them close for the first half

Sorry but exactly how are they suddenly a terrifying team

The nature of Everton means this isn't a bad draw. We've lost at home to Reading, Tranmere, Wigan etc over the years but we've also beaten big teams at Goodison. The pressure is off us. They are favourites for the competition and we can just give it a right good go.
