Drenthe ..sacked ?

Any other time I would totally agree with you, but this is a one off game where ALL OF US knew beforehand that we needed him.
As for being pro everton right now... well it's very hard, I am absolutely gutted!

He knew we needed him, he knew that come the 60th minute he would have been called on, to either change the game or to run at them and protect a lead.

And what did he do? Did he do everything he could? Nope, he took the piss, for the 10th time, on the eve of the biggest game of our Season.

Is that the type of player you wish to see wearing a blue shirt?

Leaving aside the rights and wrongs of his omission on Saturday there is one thing I find funny in all of this.

Remember he foolishly got himself off against Chelsea in the League Cup?

And the whole ground stood up practically to a man to appluad him off?

I came on here the next day saying he should have been booed off instead for more or less making sure we weren't going to win that game.

I was pilloried on here for saying it by some of the boys who are seething with righteous indignation over his poor timekeeping.

Boom!

And just to add to that: all the people outraged by his pre-SF antics: can they run off to the vaults now and trawl up the 'Get Drenthe out of this club' posts they made when they heard of the constant run-ins he was having during the season?

...can they fcuk.*

It's not just our manager who's being inconsistent.

*LCAB excluded.

Dave, hes not even an Everton player, he never was, why are you defending him?

I've said mate: I have no regard for him other than he's a piece of machinery who could have done something that mattered in a big game like saturday's. Use him > bin him. It's the lack of logic in Moyes decision making I'm highlighting. You have to concede surely that if he's been a pain and disruption for months he had to go...months ago.

Goes to the heart of Moyes this for me. It's not even about that mad as a box of frogs beaut any longer.

Let's be honest about this, what Drenthe did was small beer compared to the way Tevez has treated Citeh.

But when needs must, Mancini put him in the team and he has kept their fading Title dreams just about flickering.

No, all in all I have to think we shot ourselves in the foot by not making use of Drenthe on Saturday.

If for no better reason than he is the one man we have whom we know would have made Jones step up to the plate and be tested.

I think we all agree that one of the worst things about Saturday was how little pressure their third choice gaolkeeper was put under.

Why do you keep saying that???? Nobody is defending him!!!!
This is more about Moyes being too cautious to take a chance, not just on drenthe but everything, ever!

Well said. But don't expect a proper argument in reply. All you'll get here is "Why are you defending drenthes baby eating ways".

Its not about taking a chance, he clearly took a chance when he signed him and he gave him chance after chance, he was in the last chance saloon and do you know what he did, he kicked over all the table and chairs and raped the barstaff.

Mancini put Tevez in the team because they can't sell a guy who refuses to play. Simple as that.

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

So you're saying that you're going to start yelling on GOT?

Not so, pfim.

Mancini had no notion of playing him and they knew they couldn't sell him as far back as January.

(it's Citeh....the one club in the world who can afford to let him rot on megabucks per week)

And but for Balotelli taking the head staggers Tevez would still be out in the cold or warming the sub's bench.

But after Balotelli's exploits at the Emirates last week Mancini did what he considered was best for his team.

He picked Tevez to play.

Now, you cannot begin to compare the behaviouyr of Tevez to what we hear is the bad timekeeping of Drenthe.

The more we tease this out, the more stupid a decision it looks to be.

Especially when his replacement on the bench was McFadden.

In my eyes, Moyes did was best for his own image as a mini Fergie, he did not do what was best for Everton Football Club and its fans.

I'm not really a mod, cool speech.
