Drenthe ..sacked ?

Let's be honest about this, what Drenthe did was small beer compared to the way Tevez has treated Citeh.

But when needs must, Mancini put him in the team and he has kept their fading Title dreams just about flickering.

No, all in all I have to think we shot ourselves in the foot by not making use of Drenthe on Saturday.

If for no better reason than he is the one man we have whom we know would have made Jones step up to the plate and be tested.

I think we all agree that one of the worst things about Saturday was how little pressure their third choice gaolkeeper was put under.

100% ^^

Has it been confirmed he's been kicked out?

CBA going back and reading through all the arguing...

If someone in the know could quickly fill me in would be much appreciated.

The fact that Drenthe wasn't on the bench is NOT the reason we lost.

Well, we'll never know now what impact he'd have had, will we? The introduction of subs does alter the dynamic of the game...by definition it has to. Coleman came on and unfortunately altered it. Drenthe might have come on and done the same thing...or he may have done something positive. The fact we know he can impact on a game to our benefit is indisputable.

As I said umpteen pages ago: the tendency is to circle the wagons and take a shot at an errant character who fell foul of the organisation. I understand that, and I dont offer the player full support myself. It's harder to stand back and dissect a decision that could well have been the difference on the day.

A lot of this sounds like sophistry. Not to me. It's just a basic point being made about judgement - or lack of it.

LCAB implies he's on his way, and see also OP who has remained strangely quiet after all the sh*t he's stirred. No official announcement yet though, we may be kept waiting some time for that from the OS.....

Is this the time I say ;

I TOLD YOUS IN DECEMBER HE WAS A FUKN HEAD THE BALL , AND That The RS were in for Him ..

THEN , The Tawt runs up the Grey Skull line banging his Fukn Chest ...

RETENDRE ???

Taxi !!!!

The only question I have is why did it take Moyes so long to just get fed up of Drenthe. If he was talking to the RS in January, why didn't we end his loan deal then and let him go back to rot in Madrid? Was it just a case of having him as an extra body in the event of an injury crisis?

Why would they . HES a LOAN PLAYER ...

Lsten .. He drops him for Wembley an what ??? Brings him back for Wolves away ????

Ave a word , Mucka

Kind of hope he does go to The RS tbh. He probably doesn't quite realise the time he'd have if he came back to play for them at Goodison. Unlike anything he's ever likely to have experienced.

Plus I get to burn my shirt and put it on the internet. I would feel badass and crazy, and I need to keep the intimidation levels up on here to keep the paypal checks flowing in.

Honestly, he was given enough chances. The fact that he's blown it so many times, especially before one of our most important games in years, is enough reason to not include him. I would rather have 100 Stracqs, players who are dedicated, show up early to training, and give 100% effort, and play for the shirt, than players like Drenthe in the team.

The Red ****e can have him. He fits in perfectly with the rest of them anyways.

As for whether he could have made a difference on Saturday, I don't think anybody could 100% say that he would have. Has he pulled out some miraculous goals for team and created chances out of nothing? Yes. But what about all those games where he went missing, or was just ineffectual for the majority of the match. What about those games where he made rash tackling decisions, and gave away cheap free kicks in crucial areas? If I can recall, he gave away a goal because of a stupid challenge like that against QPR.

Either way, he's done, the semi-final is done. Let's move on.

O ROYSTON, WE ALL WANTED LOVE YOU. SOME STILL DO, AND NO ACCEPT TRUTH. YOU MAKE JULIO WINKYSTICK ALL FLOPPY NOW.

AS WISE MAN ONCE SAID: ONE MAN DOES NOT MAKE FULL TEAM, BUT IF HE FALL IN FOREST CAN YOU HEAR HIM EAT PINEAPPLE.

HOW CAN YOU MAKE JULIO CRY THESE TEARS FROM DEEPEST BALLBAG.

Yes, but they could explain what's happened and say he'll never play again, couldn't they? But no, our Board like to keep us in the dark.

As i've said earlier in the thread, i hope he never plays for us again now, because if he does i'll lose all respect for Moyes.

I hope he goes to Liverpool because:

He's not that good.

He will be nothing but trouble for them.

There's nothing that makes me more proud than the brilliant level of abuse Goodison can give, and it's strangely enjoyable. He'll get it in the derby.

Yeah but if anything...and this is strictly my opinion...it shows how far Moyes was willing to go to give the lad umpteen chances. At some point you have to draw the line. You have a right to disagree with the timing, but at least admit Drenthe brought this on by his actions. Speculation on my part, but if it was me, I would be worried about team chemistry by leaving him IN the squad. Hindsight is 20/20. We lost so it opens the subject up for debate. Fair enough. But I still think we should have won anyway, which is why i'm gutted. CBA about Drenthe.
