Drenthe ..sacked ?

gotta be honest i've changed my opinion, well i didnt really have all the facts when i made my opinion but i did say moyes should have put him on the bench even if he had turned up late for training. Thats was though when i believed he was having personal problems and in some cricumstanes you have to take that into consideration. Moyes has pissed me off no end this season, up until the last month or so we were playing dull unattractive football, people can say what they like about not having the players, but he simply was playing to avoid defeat. He must also shows balls and put his hands up for his major derby blunder, especially as we went and got knocked out by the team he rested players against, he gave them the edge going into the game because of that 3-0 win and struck fear into our team that we cudnt possibly win, IMO.

Drenthe was one of my fave players and i really wanted us to sign him, incosistant or not, he was a talent on a free that just doesnt come around too often. However, had that happened us as club and moyes would have been made to look right mugs, the way that lot are seen worldwide with how they dealt with the suarez affair. That just aint us, even ifmoyes has strict rules to obide by, players need to stop being so childish and deal with it. If it was just once i would support drenthe, but if it is the numerous times as reported then good riddance and well done moyes, (even though i believe he was looking for an excuse to sack him). Would be tough to take if we had to see drenthe wearing the red because it is nailed on he'll score against us, (and probably still run to mucha) but we run a club in certain way and although we're not winning anything, that is not a result of how we run our club. Moyes has known for while that he didnt want to sent this guy and fair enough for keeping him to the end of his contract to help achieve success, but his contract should be up now seeming as we have very little to pay for.

****erpool will have a player with undoubtable potential on their hands if they get him, and even though he'll be a handful they wont give a jot based on previous dealings and that is why in my eyes they are the scum of the earth. But they way we deal with things is the reason why i'll never have to get my everton tattoo's removed, whereas if i followed them, i doubt id be able to live with the shame

Tevez was back long before Balotelli's latest meltdown. You're right, you can't compare the situations at all. They're Citeh, but they're not going to throw away 30 million pounds by selling him at a loss. They need that guy to be as valuable as possible.

Drenthe is a castaway, no value, inflated sense of worth (by himself and some here). He doesn't get the leash that someone like Tevez does, and that's the way it should be.

Even if it's to the detriment of EFC?

Consistently showing up late is to the betterment of EFC? Putting a middling player on a pedestal at the expense of other, more valuable players, is to the betterment of EFC?

The guy is selfish beyond all belief and doesn't deserve to wear the shirt, regardless of when it was decided he shouldn't. Everything else is just crap.

You're missing the elephant in the drawing room. All of that's accepted about Drenthe...we all knew that he was off the wall months ago but no one piped up about it apart form maybe one person on here. That's because he served his purpose of getting a goal and assisting others to get a goal. Then his modus operendi off the pitch for the manager becomes suddenly and inexplicably a major matter that can only be dealt with by omitting him from the first team squad, when he was needed to put some sparkle onto a dull as ditchwater bench and offer us a realistic option.

I cant understand that you cant understand, tbh.

Sorry, but he could not have played.

Even if it was Messi, he could not have played. If it was a solo sport like Tennis then perhaps as there is no other players to upset.

But Moyes has 10 other players egos and motivation to think about.

But do you think they went into that game not affected, with the display that they gave? Somehow i get the feeling it greatly unsettled the squad anyway.

Is this the time I say ;

I TOLD YOUS IN DECEMBER HE WAS A FUKN HEAD THE BALL , AND That The RS were in for Him ..

THEN , The Tawt runs up the Grey Skull line banging his Fukn Chest ...

RETENDRE ???

Taxi !!!!

I was at QPR and after he scored that cracking goal, he raced toward the dugout, blanked Moyes by running stright past him and jumped on Mucha. It was very noticeable from where I was sat, in the stand opposite the dugout and visiting fans.

Moyes had fallen out with him lomg since and I think the point many of us are making is that why did Moyes wait until the eve of the big natch to "discipline" him.

If he had chased him in January, citing his reasons for so doing, no one would have complained.

It is the timing of it that maddens me.

As someone said earlier, he went into Saturday's "gunfight" sans his sharpest knife.

Even after all the tittish stuff Balotelli has done and no matter how many times Mancini has slammed him, he still uses him cos he is ****ing paid for his services and that's what good managers do...they know how to work with different players whereas Moyes only likes to work with guys like cahills, nevilles, osmans, hibberts etc who'll listen to whatever he says and say YES SIR!.
This disciplinary matter surely wasn't worth more than a cup final spot?

So let's all have little stroppy pr*cks like Tevez and total d*ckheads like Balotelli and we'll romp the league with no squad harmony. Oh wait, they're not even winning a league they more than paid for. This years United squad is a lot weaker on paper than previous years but they play as a team and win games for a strong minded manager who doesn't take sh*t.

Kudos to you on that front LCAB, as I said above.

Struggling to find any one else who called for this feller's head though. I think it's fair to say that none of us would have given a flying **** if he'd rattled a 30 yard shot past Jones to put us two up on the hour mark.

It's all just wise after the event moralistic horeshit as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not missing anything. He was apparently given multiple chances before, and still couldn't show up on the biggest week of the season.

Shifting the blame (which is what you're doing regardless of the logic) doesn't change the fact this guy doesn't care about Everton enough to show up. If I'm in the squad, playing in the biggest game of the season, I want players who want to be there.

He made himself expendable, no one else did.

This guy isn't Tevez. He isn't Balotelli. He isn't good enough to put up with. Hell, I don't think Tevez and Balotelli are good enough to put up with. Citeh should have won the league easily this season, the drama has to be a part of why they're underachieving.
