Duncan Ferguson the coach

Really gone down in my estimation with him peddling Sam's "2 points from relegation before I came in" bollocks for him.
The fact that Samosaurus actually consults that galoot on the bench in-game is just about the most damning part of his time here. FFS, who asks him for advice if they have half a clue themselves?!

TBH it's no surprise DCL is a poo finisher if he's got Duncan showing him the ropes. Not exactly prolific was he, Big Dunc?

60 goals in 239 games.

Something stinks at Everton to high heaven. We all know it. The media are even commenting on patterns that see managers out the door. That is toxic for a football club. There are people pocketting a massive wage at this club who only have their own - and maybe their arl arse mates - best interests to the fore. It has to end. It's pointless bringing in new managers and DoFs and new players until that issue is resolved. This reign of selfish people has gone on way too long and it's killing us.

I think the only way you can get an honest reflection of how good a coach is is to hear from former players who have no axe to grind and even then you take it with a pinch of salt. All current pro's will always talk up those that they work with because no-one would want to upset the applecart (Unless your names are Mirallas.K or Schneiderlin.M).
I do think that as a club we are far too much of an old boys club though and sentiment rules far too much when in the cold light of day we should be striving for better but that is a problem that is endemic through every part of the club probably other than Everton in the city.

See this is truth. Yet there are lads on another thread blaming TD for all of Evertons crappyness.
We are being run poorly at board level. We are being managed and coached poorly on match day level.
This season, we have spent most of the games not knowing how to defend, some games not knowing what a midfield 'shield' is. Some wondered if we would ever score regularly again.

These things sound like basic football traits. They are. And we are not very good at them and we currently have problems that a few years ago did not exist to this magnitude.

do you think unsworth could be a toxic influence?

I dont know for sure. I think he sees further than the end of his own nose though. I genuinely think he wants the best for us and wouldn't stand in the way of someone doing their job to move the club on. I could be wrong.

Overall, I feel we should be in purging mode this summer. I'd like to see a massive clearout of players and coaching staff. The place stinks.
