Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

Off the strength of 2 games it would be a bit mental.... All new managers tend to get a short term reaction from players....what Dunc has done is given the board time to find the right candidate.... No real reason right now to not let Dunc see out the Christmas games... If that goes well, then give him the job for the rest of the season...

I don't see Ancelotti wanting our job, and none of the other names linked excite me at all.... So hopefully we get lucky with Dunc
Good plan and hope so. It is a bit more than a lift though....he has lost so many players yet the team have confidence. Excellent.

I will ask you one more time, who is this top class manager within our grasp? Silva was exactly the same sort of gamble as Martinez and Koeman. Dunc, Arteta et al are a different sort of gamble entirely, but the single point we can agree on is that it is all a gamble, one that we have proved to be uniquely bad at.

I am simply arguing that maybe it's time to go for someone who really has the interests of the club at heart, could they do any worse than the last three? If I had to hang my hat on a 'proven' manager it would be Rafael, partly on the basis that I think we have a chance of getting him, but of all the names linked so far I would rather give the big man a run and I am not alone in my opinion.
Utd and Jose was not a gamble and it did not go to plan.

Even a decent manager with pedigree walking into this mess his job for these two games would be keep the score respectable. This has been a miracle what Ferguson has achieved considering he is a glorified cone layer
Why give Dave the recognition and attention he craves by repeating the crap he spouts?

Repeating it gives him just that. You should know better.

Ok I hear ye but it wasn’t at Davek he’s not the only lid to say that to be fair. Maybe he started it but it’s been repeated by many.

DF focuses on the very basics and in the short term it will lift the team. The question is whether he is capable of developing the team beyond this. Although we got a result today, we were very unorganized. There were large spaces between our lines and our midfield was largely too wide defensively. Fortunately, MU failed to take advantage of this.
We were as good as them. 1-1 fair result. We are more than organised but as we are Everton that is the highest compliment we get.
