I’m trying not to lol

He’s showing a degree of team tactical nous and awareness that has surprised . I thought with his badges , time at the club working with the players he’d gee up and motivate certain individuals, but he’s shown more that with his 442 tactics againstChelsea and again against United with key midfielders missing . Getting Holgate and Davies working in tandem so effectively was impressive.
I know it's only been 2 games, but the bit I have bolded out has made an impression on me. He has the team set out right, and has made changes when required in a bold and non-hesitating manner. He has done this against the backdrop of players being out and having to put players into unusual positions. Very good stuff.

I'll be honest, I didn't expect much when Ferguson was handed the job for Chelsea, but he's impressed me more than I expected. Yesterday was a a decent committed performance with a makeshift side against a revitalised united at their place - under a Moyes or a Silva we'd have been beaten. I'm in no rush to replace Ferguson at the moment, and if he keeps on pumping out performances like this and getting points, then you never know ...

Goodison is a snarling venom spitting viper pit when it get's going and that can be just for our own players. But when it is harnessed some of the best opposition players and teams in the world couldn't wait to get off the pitch and it's a joy to behold.

goodison an evening kick off for a quarter final a week before Christmas the place will be bouncing .

I loved it when he told Digne to go down when he was injured, he was just walking around and we had 10 v 11 at one point. Dunc knows the little tricks. Theres no denying hes done a great job so far, would be fantastic if we can get passed leicester and do Arsenal this week.

Quote me on this: It will only end in tears. We hated the style of football under Fat Sam, it won’t be much different long term under Dunc.

We need Ancelotti or even Howe who’s been managing in the league for years and has Bournemouth playing nice stuff with a limited squad, year in year out.

And Howe won at Chelsea yesterday - so going by some of your posts in here, by that measuring stick, Howe deserves at least an interview, no?
No.

We need a hungry, energetic manager who gains respect. Authoritative and someone who understands the football club. Someone who makes proactive and not reactive subs. Dunc ticks all the boxes for me. This crazy narrative that he has no tactical nous to succeed long term is based on thin air. With a paper thin squad he managed to make us defend as a unit (and man mark set pieces btw which made a massive difference) and still pose a threat going forward. Two weeks ago we were complaining we had no centre forward. Now we have two. He’s also brave in his decision making which is a rare breed amongst managers under so much pressure in the premier league. The people moaning about nurturing talent such as moise kean need to possibly switch their attention to nurturing actual talent in the dugout because he’s displaying excellent credentials. Other clubs will be looking at him. And if we bin him off to appoint some fella we have to google then I’ll be fuming.....but nothing surprises me with mad moshiri

thank u all buddies for the apology in advance and ur showing of humility.

Really clever of you to go back through peoples post history just so you can pull people and play oneupmanship 'after' the fact. Pretty sure people could do the same to you and maybe they will if they could actually be bothered to. Most have got more important things to do with their time. Practically everyone had been wondering what he had been doing the last few years (probably you included) under several failed managers and regimes and since Silva got sacked and Big Dunc took over the same people (me included) have repeatedly been giving him tons of credit and are absolutely delighted with him and what he has managed to do.

I dont see them posts quoted by you though and cant be bothered quoting them all as i have more important things to do with my time than play oneupmanship.

I stand by the comment I made. He wouldn't be near the club if he wasn't an Everton player. Has been the only coaching staff to survive multiple sackings and forced within each managers coaching team.

Regardless of WHY he is there, he has installed some fight in the team and got 4 points more than any of us expected so far so credit where credit is due.

I still don't want him to get the job full time, but I think the last 10 days or so have shown me that he has enough about him to motivate a team and isn't all that lacking on the tactical side either.

Having said that, the way we've been playing isn't really sustainable and is generally the way an underdog team plays in order to try to battle their way to a few points. That's not a criticism at all, we probably had to given our position in the table and the ridiculous injury list we have. It's a whole other thing when there's a level of expectation and people start expecting you to win games against lesser sides rather than seeing any sort of results against better sides as a bonus.

In short, if we ever needed to change manager again in the future, I think I'd be happy that Ferguson was around to take it for a short period of time. Also, in an ideal world I'd like whoever the next manager is to give Ferguson a more involved role on the coaching side of things. Rumours suggested that he had been marginalised under Silva as he is the club's man rather than the manager's (Ferguson sort of alluded to that a little bit himself in one interview).

We gave Klopp belters because at the time it appeared very much as over celebrating a poor draw at home. What in fact it was, was Klopp expressing how important sticking with your team through thick and thin is whilst staying both positive and having belief until the end. If as a fan you see a manager giving his all on the side then you can't help but get carried along for the ride. Feel like a tit for remembering what he said about turning doubters to believers but when you see how ridiculous the mentality of his team is you get his point.

It's the same with Ferguson. He's playing on emotion and trying to light a fire under our fanbase, none of this disgruntled moaning when a pass goes astray. Stick with the team and believe in them.

Might all be for nothing and we go on and get tonked by Leicester and Arsenal. Guess we'll see but it's been a while since somebody tried to actually invoke the power of the fanbase.
Fair point
