Not a chance...

My understanding of it is that a lot of the dogfighting happened at sea during this event so troops on the ground were unaware of the RAF's assistance.
Tell you later if this is covered in the film!
Laugh away Jal , can you not see the enormous obligation each and every one of us owes to our American friends ? Our forefathers , us and our children's children are beholden to them no doubt ! Non of us should forget this !!
The fact that it's 1hr 46 mins makes me want to go and see it
So sick of bloated, overlength modern films - full of Basil Exposition and unnecessary characterisation
Tbf to our Yankee cousins they did bail us out , not once but twice ! We owe them a great deal !
How's the view from your high horse? Your condescension is pitiful really...
First off, warned for avoiding the filter.Just remember Christopher Nolan is a shyte director.
I looked at the title of this thread and thought "I don't really want to see posts about the war". Then I thought some of the xenophobic posts might be amusing. Then I see it is about a film, typical really. I can see in the coming years when youths are asked What they know about Dunkirk they will say the long haired one from some boy band was in it.
Anyway, for once it seems like we might have a half decent film on our hands.
Given the budget for the film, and the research that was undoubtedly done for it, it is an utter joke that they have yellow-nosed Messerschmitt Bf 109s!
Absolutely staggering! Messerschmitt Bf 109 units did not received orders to paint the engine cowlings, wingtips and rudders with temporary yellow paint until mid August 1940...
That is a basic error in this day and age...
