Its just common sense you play to your strikers strengths I dont know how we've persisted so long with players like Coleman dinking in those crap balls lol

Watching a few McNeil clips he doesnt just welly them in either he seems to put in quite a few low curling crosses that someone like Richarlison/Doucoure should be running onto slamming into the back of the net.

Hopefully that Nunes lad likes getting into the box as well if he signs - Gbamin seems to get forward as well.

What makes you think its a bad deal mate?

For me its one of the few times you can say we are signing a square peg for a square hole.

We have one of the best headers of the ball in DCL yet out of the two fullback and two wide positions only 1 player (Digne) can put in a decent cross.

Digne/Mcneil and potentially Dumfries (assuming he can cross a ball better than Coleman which wouldn'tbe hard) and we'll be creating more chances for DCL. Richarlison also likes the odd header and Doucoure if he's given licence to bomb forward more into the box when we get it out wide.

Fair enough pal - still only 21 though and Burnley don't exactly have the quality to have him bombing forward he's camped in his own half most games.

Similiar profile and mentality to Godfrey for me. I wanted Bailey/Wilf but this cats got potential imo.

Ever since people started thinking video games were realistic we’ve had people on here thinking pace is everything because it makes it easy to play FIFA.
Load of people saying we need to get rid of James because he hasn’t got any pace too!
Dread to think how many would’ve turned their nose up at Grealish or David Silva or Ibrahmovic or Cavani (in fact I remember people genuinely turning their nose up at this one last summer when we were linked) or John Terry or Modric or Schweinsteiger or Puyol or Pirlo or Kante or Figo or Kevin Sheedy.

You‘re absolutely right. Could add Sheringham, Cantona & many others, but I doubt they’d have stood out as they did without pace around them. Our problem has been a serious lack of pace throughout the entire squad. I’ve slagged the likes of Siggurdsen relentlessly, but have to admit even Pirlo or Xavi might struggle in this squad.

You are right too tbf, you do need SOME pace and we had literally none in some line ups last season. I think a forward three of Richy, Gray and DCL has decent pace. Digne is quick enough for an effective overlap and hopefully Dumfries or similar on the right can do the same. With proper overlapping full backs we can swap Gray out for someone more technical if need be.
