This is a very stupid deal for us to make.

He will not be going for less than 30 from Burnley. We shouldn't pay that at all.

Hes alright but spending 30 million on "alright" or "potential" is how you end up with players like Kean and Iwobi that nobody wants to give us a return on.

Oh in many ways he absolutely fits the bill for our recruitment strategy. Taking the best players from poor teams for extortionate amounts.

With him and Nunes being heavily linked, I’m hopeful that the lack of ball carriers we have in the side is going to be addressed.

He’s not world class but I’d rather spend 30m on him than 50m on ASM.

I think in today’s market 30m is fairly acceptable for what could be a very good player.

For me its one of the few times you can say we are signing a square peg for a square hole.

We have one of the best headers of the ball in DCL yet out of the two fullback and two wide positions only 1 player (Digne) can put in a decent cross.

Digne/Mcneil and potentially Dumfries (assuming he can cross a ball better than Coleman which wouldn'tbe hard) and we'll be creating more chances for DCL. Richarlison also likes the odd header and Doucoure if he's given licence to bomb forward more into the box when we get it out wide.

Its just common sense you play to your strikers strengths I dont know how we've persisted so long with players like Coleman dinking in those crap balls lol

Watching a few McNeil clips he doesnt just welly them in either he seems to put in quite a few low curling crosses that someone like Richarlison/Doucoure should be running onto slamming into the back of the net.

Hopefully that Nunes lad likes getting into the box as well if he signs - Gbamin seems to get forward as well.
