Footballers will always beat athletes. You sound like you wanted us to set up as the Crazy Gang.

As for McNeil he isn't eye catching for pace but he seems to be a good footballer albeit very slight and seemingly lacking confidence. I mean getting an assist last game was alright?
he’s one of the worst players we’ve had in the last 10 years, he’s utter dross

And swinging a corner in us all well and good, but he did nothing for the other hour he was in the pitch.

He’s slow, weak and can’t beat a players. He’s a liability and making excuses just highlights the mess this club is in

No pace and passive.

Never a player to buy in a relegation threatened outfit.

It beggars belief that he was bought in the summer.

Literally any poster off this forum could have told the Dof and Lampard that the fight to survive had only just begun and come up with better players to bring in for what we required this season with the Richarlison cash.

We needed a handful of no frills athletes who could get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes.

Ugh please stop posting stuff I agree with you on!

If you dont have pace in this league you have nothing...unless you have a great football brain and can sit in puling the strings. That isn'y McNeill.
Not as of yet you are right about that but he is still very young. Pace as a wide player is an asset for sure but it isn't the end all if players play to strengths.

Do you see him more as a number 10 or not think it's in his wheelhouse to develop the vision needed?

We deserve what we’ve got. Sell the Brazilian #9 and sign crap no-mark hoping they will provide goals and assists.
That's why I wont turn on Lampard and say he's to blame.

He's not.

You cant expect him to conjure up a replacement for Richarlison while trying to sort the midfield and defence out on the cheap.

No he isn’t, he’s 23 not 17. Also please explain how he’s going to get faster the older he gets, as if that’s a thing that happens.

I dont see him as a PL player full stop mate.

He was surplus to requirement at Burnley even before they went down. That tells me everything.

Him and Maupay. And we somehow managed to get both in the same window.

That's fair enough a part of me is thinking he has more to offer. Doesn't he have some of the highest defensive contributions for a wide player? Vaguely remember reading that.

I think they should use the money spent on McNeil, Maupay and even Garner to buy one good starter. Use the money wisely.
