Dwight McNeil is why there needs to be a fully joined up approach between manager, coaching staff and the person signing the players. There’s no way Lampard wanted McNeil, he didn’t have a clue what to do with him which made us all think he was just a bad player.
Within 7 games, he’s completely turned it around and has shown that with a boss who has faith in him and gives him a proper clear purpose on the pitch, he’s a player!
