Can anyone give me a balanced view - did he play really well apart from the goal? What kind of things did he do well?

His positional sense is excellent now he’s being played in a clearly defined position.

Here’s my take on his last two games:

When we’re in position he’s in space ready to receive, when we’re defending he busts a gut to get where he needs to go.
He seems to win possession back with a lot of interceptions, little nick tackles.
He plays forward.
He puts the ball in the box with decent quality (though not much to aim at)
He takes dangerous set pieces normally on Tarkowski or Keane’s heads
He’s started to shoot and strikes a ball very nicely

I’ll say the same thing about Dwight that I said about Digne. I wish he had more pace. But if that were the case we’d have never been able to sign either.
Do think if we could get a lb to link up with him would be perfect for him. Great strike from him today, worked hard is just the pace that is the problem

Dwight and Digne would have been killer. Defenses would have had to pick their poison. Unfortunately both kind of had/have to do it by themselves. Hopefully we get Dwight a partner on the left and same for Iwobi (albeit Seamus is doing his best).

Not trying to be a negative, Nelly he has been playing well. He needs to learn to go right. When he is on left in the final third he ALWAYS goes to end line. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe that’s what he had been told to do. Who knows

I think that's because he doesn't have a right foot. Maybe the rest of the team need to be aware of this and get in the six yard box.
