Harrison at Leeds can go off both feet really well, that Greenwood rat for Utd was very good off both feet.

Always find it odd that it's usually only left footed players that get stick for being one-footed.

But are they lefties who can play with their right of vice versa?

As a left footer I am of the opinion that we are worse with our bad foot. I practiced for a long time to use my bad foot growing up, and honestly I was passable with it, but I'd do a lot to avoid using it if I could.

Think some are being very hard on the lad.

He's 22.

Retains the ball well and we're asking him to take one for the team.

I can see why he was in the top 1% of attacking midfielders in the league for interceptions and blocks.

Don't set your opinion too firmly on him yet, especially when we have no outball for him.

I’m glad you are saying this. Some posters should be banned from commenting on new players for six months and any player under 25 at all.

Had his best game for us last night. Put in a proper shift giving Patterson some protection. It's just a pity he isn't blessed with pace, would have been clean through with a one-on-one near the end.

I read again but still cannot believe he is only 22! seems to have been at Burnley for ages.
He is just a kid with over 100 PL games already...Plenty of time yet then...

…not surprised in the least. As I posted last night, his manager and teammates will have been delighted with McNeils performance. Terrific foil with Patterson, they nullified so much of the Leeds threat.

if we do revert to 3 CBs I do wonder about him as a LWB, I don’t think he’s as slow as some think.

Regardless, he’s played very well these last two games.

He gave great cover for Patterson and nullified Leeds biggest threat. I'm sure the rest of the team would have been delighted. Still looking for more with the ball, but you cant knock his attitude.

I’m very much in favour of this. I’m always amazed when I read the transfers/ rumours threads that there are people on GOT who can tell you the best Croatian left footed midfielder playing in Serie A but don’t have a clue about our players ?

Defensively I know our wingers will put out the effort. With McNeil we have to find a way to take advantage of his technicality on the dribble.

Maybe we get him more central at times or maybe he works on his movement in the side but he seems to be a bit lost at times. It may take time.

due to gross negligence of our board this lad will need to do something he has never even threatened to do before, score more than 3 premier league goals in a season

Not been great so far. Was better last game as discussed above. Hopefully a big target man in the box to get on the end of some great crosses will help the lad out

For all the comments saying he’s crap offensively, I seem to remember seeing him score a worldy, I just can’t quite remember who it was against………oh that’s it, it was against us……obviously. So he can do it, when played in the correct position.
