100%…I was wondering how many corners and other set plays have we scored from since he’s been out. I think he’s been a bigger miss than realised.
Can’t help think his injury has been mis-managed, leaving it for 6 weeks to heal by itself then having to have the op. These medical decisions have an impact on points.

He’s be a shoe in ahead of Doucoure even if many of us don’t rate McNeill…instant improvement.100%
His set pieces are the only thing that was keeping us afloat under Dyche
That being said, it's difficult to see where he'd fit in under Moyes right now, but he'd be v useful to have coming off the bench at least.
In that number 10 role, I'd expect you'll see Alcaraz over Doucoure and McNeilHe’s be a shoe in ahead of Doucoure even if many of us don’t rate McNeill…instant improvement.
Agree. We effectively brought in McNeil (25) and Ndaiye (24) for Gordon (23). People act as though Gordon is George Best when he's more Park Ji-Sung (machine out of possession yet lacking productivity in possession).I find it bizarre reading through this thread how underrated he is. He being out is a big miss for us. Also only just turned 25 so we’re likely not seeing the full potential yet. I really rate the lad

Gordon plays in a team that creates a load of chances and given him many tap ins. He has developed as a player since leaving Everton but yeah he isn't scoring double figures over a season in an Everton team managed by Dyche.Double figures prem goals last season for Gordon and he probably will again this season. He’s a key player for Newcastle.
He’s a far better player than McNeil overall.
