If we ignore the one footedness, tardiness on the ball, lack of pace, inability to play the ball ahead of someone he can clearly see and focus only on the occasional blammo - he's the best player in the world, right next to Broja.
Nobody is calling him Messi. At least I hope not. He has been one of our better players. If anything the opposite of what you said is true and people are dismissing him entirely as you have here.
 

Some people have said we've missed his set pieces, which is probably true, and I think we've missed wide options both in the starting line up and from the bench. I think your use of the word "massively" is not really reflective of the general tone in this thread. I haven't seen a single post suggesting he should be the first name on the teamsheet or anything like that, just a few people saying it would be good to have him back.
He is just dismissing other people's opinions with his rhetoric. Carry on.
