Can this be over soon please?

I promise to get behind whoever comes in and support them. I have learnt my lesson* over groaning and moaning about Koeman, Martinez and Moyes. I will support them with unwavering conviction until Everton are safe. I will then resume and groan and moan if they don't progress the club and team back into a team that regards 7th place as a minimum requirement next season. And if they do that they will get another season of support to see if they can make the step up into the top 6 and CL positions.

*lesson learnt = not to fall for any over hyping when they win 3 in a row, or fall into despair unless they are in the bottom 3 after 10 games with nowt to show for it or a team/ manager that has given up caring.

A most unusual situation that Sam Allyrdyce finds himself linked with Everton.
We have just finished seventh in the league and then spent nearly 150m in signing new players.
Our season has collapsed and our players have absolutely no idea what they are supposed to be doing... but that doesn't make them bad players, just players working under bad management.
David Unsworth is exempt from any criticism here as he took over a fire fighting situation with no real experience of what is needed.

Allyrdyce is recent seasons has been managing clubs which were habitual relegation candidates.
In spite of recent performances players like Keane, Schneiderlin, Gueye, Sigurdsson and lots others have the ability to be quality players again.
Coleman, Bolasie , McCarthy and maybe even Barkley may be there as well.

It is a pot of riches compared to the normal scenario he finds himself in.

I would think he sees huge opportunities in this job and maybe even a transfer budget as well.... no wonder he would be interested.

Allardicci for me. Never relegated, and wants to manage us. This would probably be his last big job, so we can be sure he wouldn't be looking at us as a stepping stone (like every manager since Smith). I think he would give it his all - he blew the England job, and he sees us as the next best thing. He also sees us as a big club - which is probably more than the board do.

That is why he's made some allegedly pretty hefty demands.
