That is why he's made some allegedly pretty hefty demands.
I would take that report with a pinch of salt.

I think the demands that he will be making will be relating to longevity of tenure.
He has always felt that he was underestimated as a manager and was never given the chance at a big club that he deserved...with some justification.

I think he may see this as a very late shot at the big prize and will really be interested in getting a longer term role than a short contract until the end of the season .

He could very easily overplay his hand and the club could easily follow other targets.

I still think Benitez is not totally out of the picture either.

I suppose no news is good news.

No white smoke means there is still a chance sanity will prevail.

The more I think about it, this is not the time to take the Allardyche Boys option.

If we beat Watford that gives a bit of breathing space as we will surely be out the bottom three and there is another break.

Yes well I was thinking that a long contract for Allardyce would, in the eyes of the board who probably want a quick rescue job and then move on to more ambitious targets, be considered a hefty demand.

Neither of these two if we're going down the Save us from the drop route. My preference in this set up would be Moyes.Done a lot of our heads in when at Utd but went after our best players that's football.Had a disaster at Sunderland. He'll be despa ate to repair his reputation.I've no doubt he would keep us up which apart from the very optimistic views seems/is our priority this season.

wow, the voting is even tighter than the odds: currently oddschecker averaging at around 4/5 for Sam and 6/4 for Dyche. The rest are so far away as not worth mentioning.

Personally I'd prefer Allardyce as Dyche is merely a flavour-of-the-month like an Owen Coyle, Phil Brown or Ian Holloway. Big Sam at least has consistent pedigree over a long career.

Why can't we have somebody mediocre atleast. These are crap. We ridicule managers like these as a fanbase. This can't be happening.

I've been informed that our next manager has the first initial of "S" and that their surname contains the letters "D", "Y", "C" and "E'. Make of that what you will.
