I would love Eddie Howe as next Everton manager but it isn't going to happen.

I would have Eddie Howe well above Carsley and Baines. They would have to cut there teeth elsewhere first. I do not count the England U21's as a recommendation for the PL. Best young players to pick from in the country does not equal limited players to pick from in the PL.

The bottom line is we can't afford to get anyone different in other than a relegation avoidance specialis. At least with Moyes, we'd have someone who can stabilise us and perhaps, with luck, get some domestic success seeing how he's more experienced now. We can't afford yo go for a pioneering manager at this stage or someone like Potter as he's more free flowing - we don't have those players. The risk is too great.

What is this 'luck' you speak of- we are Everton!

Get real lads. The state the club is in, with next season potentially crucial, you need a seasoned professional rather than some young coach who looks nice in knitwear.

Moyes is one of the few with the sort of experience we need.

I think moyes is everything that dyche is and isn't, he can be pragmatic and defensively minded but he can actually build a team beyond the mindset of survival mode, can play decent football at times, still savvy with recruitment and can develop youth players. He also seems more flexible with his game management and player selection as well
