He is the next England manager, these two games are just a bit of a test. Unless he utterly fluffs them big time the job is his imo.he’s not going to leave the england set up mate
It's time to forgive. He made a massive mistake and he knows that. We've all made mistakes.Still sticks in my throat the way Moyes left us and then sign our players on the cheap.plus i want a more attractive style, sick of watching boring defencive football.
Stagnating under Moyes was regular European football and finishing above Liverpool. You do not want Dyche, Allardyce, Moyes or any of these professional expectation temperers. I do not think Moyes is a bad manager, but you will stagnate under any of these guys and if you want to take the next step, they are not who you want long term. Dyche has proven he is not the long term solution so we need one that can be.
Great. We can never actually challenge for everything and repeat the cycle when he leaves us.Stagnating under Moyes was regular European football and finishing above Liverpool.
My uncle turns 95 years of age today. He only goes to around 7 or 8 matches a season now, but he had a season ticket for many decades. He's seen us win the league on six occasions, he's seen us win the FA Cup 4 times and obviously he's also seen us win a European trophy. He has seen us play at Wembley live on more than a dozen occasions.
He's also borne witness to some pretty horrible moments too, including the 4-0 drubbing by Bolton Wanderers at Goodison under Moyes, the Steven Gerrard hat-rick under Moyes, the 3-0 defeat by Wigan in the quarter-finals at Goodison under Moyes and the 7-0 defeat to Arsenal under Moyes, the latter game being the only away match that he attended that season.
I hope, for his sake, that we don't go down to the lower divisions. It would break his heart. I remember that Palace game under Frank... we looked down and out and the kopites were gleeful. But in the end we showed them all.
