Is Moyes a better manager than Dyche ? Yes
Would Moyes do better with this bunch of players than Dyche ? Yes
Do I want Moyes returning as the next Everton manager? No
Do I think we can get a better manager than Moyes ? Yes
Is that likely to carry a greater risk than reappointing Moyes ? Yes but the potential for greater reward is there.

If Moshiri was engaged I think he'd probably do the deal to ensure PL safety.

I have a gut feeling that Textor is more of a gambler.

Still yes.

I think the problem with Dyche is this seventeenth place trophy mentality he has installed in this club. Some of our fans are just happy with seventeenth place every year.

If you don't fancy Moyes ... we could always go with the other manager who averaged above tenth place finishes with Everton in the last 20 years but we fired anyway because we thought we could do better. I'd be much happier with either of them TBH.

You do not want Dyche, Allardyce, Moyes or any of these professional expectation temperers. I do not think Moyes is a bad manager, but you will stagnate under any of these guys and if you want to take the next step, they are not who you want long term. Dyche has proven he is not the long term solution so we need one that can be.

Stagnating under Moyes was regular European football and finishing above Liverpool.

My uncle turns 95 years of age today. He only goes to around 7 or 8 matches a season now, but he had a season ticket for many decades. He's seen us win the league on six occasions, he's seen us win the FA Cup 4 times and obviously he's also seen us win a European trophy. He has seen us play at Wembley live on more than a dozen occasions.

He's also borne witness to some pretty horrible moments too, including the 4-0 drubbing by Bolton Wanderers at Goodison under Moyes, the Steven Gerrard hat-rick under Moyes, the 3-0 defeat by Wigan in the quarter-finals at Goodison under Moyes and the 7-0 defeat to Arsenal under Moyes, the latter game being the only away match that he attended that season.

I hope, for his sake, that we don't go down to the lower divisions. It would break his heart. I remember that Palace game under Frank... we looked down and out and the kopites were gleeful. But in the end we showed them all.

That the one where we had already secured 4th and the players were all still drunk on the pitch?

What terrible times we lived through from that tyrant moyes eh? 4th in the league that absolutely terrible manager getring us to our highest ever PL placing :whip:

I do not want Moyes, when he was here before under Kenwright he was allowed to run the club from top to bottom, he is to up himself to run our club again, please please please a BIG NO from me
