ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

There’s nothing wrong with a little joy vicariously derived.
Absolutely...the problem is that although our lovable friends across the park have won nothing to put them or their "fans"anywhere near to the success they had in the 70s and 80s its annoying that we get a lot of our joy through their misfortunes without us doing anything to change that. I am lucky I saw winning EFC sides...and I want that back......with a vengance !! ;););)

I agree with this Klopp statement. Since he’s been there the fanaticism has gone into overdrive.
His fist pumping, snarling at 4th officials, losing it during interviews with reporters who can hardly answer back (Everton penalty award at the Pitt) his heavy metal football statement, his encouragement of the coach welcome before the City game, is all but giving them license to behave dangerously. He rouses them into a frenzy, almost like the alpha Male in a pack of Wolves. It’s like the pack is on the hunt for a cup, any cup will do, and woe betide anyone or anything that dare stands in their way. It's frightening really.

At what point does he tell them to drink the "kool aid", they're that fervent at the moment they'd be swilling themselves in the stuff. The only times I've encountered behaviour on that scale is when someone's had a life conversion to some barnpot religious ideology, it's the same distant faraway look and manic behaviour amongst the other things that they emit up on piss mountain.

Jonestown would be their arena.... all hail ...;)

Have a read of this thread. Unbelievable

I've just spent a short while reading through that drivel, haven't people got nothing better to do on a hot summers day. Albeit I'm on this now but have been out all day and am last man standing (off work tomorrow don't have to go home), that account was just crackpots quacking ridiculous bile at each other. Are they all 12 years old or something?

Seriously, it's been a long horrible season culminating with them rats in a final and "fanatical kopshoites" crawling out from cracks in pavements and under rocks banging on about 6 times in a shirt that may of fitted them 20 years ago. I'm enjoying them being piped down in spectacular fashion, and as has been said so are the rest of the country, and nothing or no one is gonna change that, lighten up mate its just football, hey I'm pissed too ;)
Nail. Hammer. Head

I'll drink to that!

Seeing all the helmets from Norwich, Norway Nuneaton and the likes in their kits last weekend wandering around the city centre with faces like smacked arses was boss. Had a pint in the ship and Mitre and there was an older one glowering at me and my mates as we remembered that arsenal game in '89 and how we celebrated it wildly.

Im going to say something that I expect people to get offended by,but a lot of these rs that go on about Hillsborough use it as some sick badge of honour, they use it to deflect any critisism and use it to bait other supporters, the sight of Rogers wearing an arm band in the final matches of 05 and saying win it for 96 angels should have caused uproar, using the deaths to act as a motivation for a team was so wrong but no one said a word

Totally agree. Spotted one decent blue on there though who talked sense but in the main it’s a bit of a train wreck.

I was in the ship on the Friday, but I had to get off with their bellend "fans" spouting utter drivilly bollocks. Unfortunately the excelsior, Vernon, Rigbys etc where all full of the smug odious frauds so it was home with a lobster pot experience and early morning shoites to contend with. Most preferable to their massive bellendry I must admit, wish I could've seen you infuriate the red gimp, chances are he couldn't understand you and was quizzically studying you in a vain attempt to gather some friends in this distant land ;)

A few did. @davek

One match going, local Blue, who was affected by Hillsborough memorably posted along the lines of, "I dont need some 12 year old on a keyboard in Kent telling me about Hillsborough"

The blue being the Jamie fellow who they all turned their wrath on but left with some decorum. Unlike the bile soaked rage they continued to spout, that was as close to madness as I've seen in ages, fair play that you read that.

"What has been seen cannot be unseen"

Think that was used in Seinfeld or Curb....

Yep he’s the chap bless him. Just seen another who put them in their place on the Holgate/Firmino saga. Fair play.
