ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Still think what Davek says about 4 extra games is spot on. They haven't rested anyone in the league yet. With a very winnable tie next I wouldn't be surprised if he rests one or two in between games and think the lack of squad depth will show. Credit to him, I never thought he could challenge on both fronts with his style of football but then again we're not even in April yet.....

RS giving it chapter and verse about Group of Death whilst conveniently overlooking a few things

1. Out of Pot 2 they could have done a lot worse than PSG. That's Pot 2 they scraped into thanks to about three seeds messing up in the qualifiers thereby raising their position into Pot 2.

2. They drew Bayern because they didn't win the group, did they expect.. Oh I dunno, say Porto in the last 16

Last year they had a ludicrously lucky draw apart from City. The three weakest possible group opponents in Sevilla, Maribor and CSKA, a weak Hoffenheim. PORTO, Roma..

And they got Porto as a reward for having the least effective qualifying stage of all the sixteen teams..

And let's not even talk about their sixty years of fluking second leg at home draws (over 70% of the time!!!)

So yeah, tough draw, again!!!!

What Dave says, in his normal calm and logical way, makes perfect sense but I hope Porto stuff them home and away 'cos I hate those 'great' Analfield nights with its 'red hot' atmosphere and the crowd 'like an extra man', the Kop 'sucking de ball into de net', and the TV coverage fawning over them while they sing along to that dirge from Carousel. Not to mention Klopp's antics before, during, and after the games and the garbage spouted by the mass of drooling ex-RS in the media.

I won't be watching.

Sounds an awful lot like you've watched every game so far this season to be honest.

I wouldn't rule it out, tbf...or at least edge past them. Won their group (5 wins 1 draw - in admittedly a weak group), piled up more group stage points than any other team in this season's CL, then beat a decent team like Roma over two legs.

Thought you said it was definitely 4 extra games for the RS though, which you're apparently delighted about.

Predict every possible outcome over several posts and you can always prove yourself to be correct. Talking absolute turbo-wham, as usual.

Wasn’t Daves fault they played a load of pub teams enroute apart from City who the refs shafted in both legs. Dave said they’d go out against the first head of state they met and they were embarrassed by Madrid.

Dave promised (and continues to promise) the RS would lose every single game. Bound to get some right sooner or later.

Klopp saying 'It's not the draw we wanted, but it's made now so we have to get on with it'. Didn't ANYONE think to challenge him and ask 'Okay Jurgen, who DID you want?' . Unbelievable.

Incidentally, with people saying they'll be at home in the second leg of the semi - not necessarily. If United and City both get through, UEFA rules stipulate they can't both play at home in the same week, so United would have to switch the first leg to Anfield. Not much, but it's something...

I wouldn’t fret sbout them playing the second leg at home.

They played at home first against City, Roma and Bayern.....and still got through.

I am sure he is spot on.....but I just want to see Porto despatch the buggers and be done with.

RS will be playing Champions League same midweek I assume? To be fair of course Chelsea are on the Thursday... That's the Europa league day. Not sure what you expected.
*sniffs the air ....
