Allegedly

Last time a horse won back to back grand nationals Liverpool won the league a point ahead of Man city .

God I want city to win the league so much

Edit- was rums third win so they are wetting themselves over nothing.

Still want city to win though.....

Allegedly last time the RS were in a title race they blew it big time in the home straight and city won.... So rest easy.

No, I am not suggesting for one moment that every non Merseyside fan is of that opinion.

I have many Blue relatives in Ireland, Canada, Australia and the States who will be as devastated as you and I will be if the worst comes to the worst.

And I lived down that London in the 80s and still meet many southern based ESCLA boys at games and they will feel the same.

What I am saying is that those among us who do hold those views...those who berated us when we said we wanted to City to win at Goodison in February because they “don’t care what that lot do etc., etc.”.....would typically, though probably not exclusively, be based outwith the city of Liverpool and the Merseyside region.

Apologies to your good self and any other out of town Blues who misunderstood the point I was making :)
No apology needed believe me.
I know it won't be unique, but there's an ale house in the east of this city that is "Analfield" when their game is televised. I've been there a couple of times and ask if they ever go to the game. The response invariably that they can't get a ticket, which we know ain't strictly true if they tried hard enough. But anyway, they are truly insufferable.

Just reading though all his responses in that twitter thread, I think this guy is the most dangerously thick football fan I've come across on the internet, and by an absolute mile.
The sheer arrogance of people like this makes me not want them to win the league because they'll be even more insufferable. It's like the idiot United fans in the 90s who acted like they were G-d's gift just because they supported United.

That goal by Salad was worthy of winning any football match it was pure class but I do believe it will all be in vein. I must say the coverage on Sky is a disgrace Carragher should not be involved when Liverpool play grinning from ear to ear with the players on the pitch after the game. The commentary with him celebrating the goals is not impartial which is how it should be, Martin Tyler must be a kopite too sounds like he's having an orgasm whilst purring over them. Its disrespectful to their opponents. The media don't even try to hide the bias, its a disgrace.

They got lucky with a couple of deflections the kicked the ball downfield to a guy faster than any of their back 4. The last man turned his back with Salah still way in front of him to keep up as soon as he turned his back it was over. The finish was good, but it wasn't a spectacular. I can't remember who was the last man back and hindsight is 20/20. But going at Salah at about midfield and either getting the man or the ball would have been a better result with the inevitable play. It was basic counter attacking with a couple of good bounces in build up.

The celebration makes me not want to praise it all. So perhaps I'm taking more away from it than I should, but I don't get it. He won't celebrate a champions league goal vs Roma in the champions league but will pick up a card vs the team they constantly pillage players from. He's a clown.

Can envisage some Anny Road hand cart stall holder selling stick-on versions of these...with 5 little Euro Cups round each one of course. Jesus tonight.

Joy of the weekend was watching City stroll to another win without braking into a sweat. They go ahead and have no fear about conceading a goal. They make it look easy and are clearly not pushing any players. Imagine what they can do when they turn on the switch. They have this. I hope they win all 4 trophies and really miff off the cult. Oh what fume there would be from the plucky little spent nothing klopp salad brigade.

Go City

They could be like the Arsenal team of 99. A fabulous team that no one remembers because United won the treble beating them to the league by a point and putting them out in the cup semi.
