ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Can't see Huddersfield (H), Newcastle (A) and Wolves (H) putting up much resistance, even if they do have two extra games against Barcelona. The Cardiff game is the tricky one for them, they could be a bit complacent. City will need to win every game to lift the trophy, doable but a big ask. Think they'll get three points against Spurs which will put pressure on the rs against Cardiff. Next week game against Manu could be the decider one way or the other.
As far as the CL goes Barca should have enough over two legs to beat them.

For me the Wolves and Newcastle game will be tricky. Around that Barca match especially so. I expect them to bulldoze Cardiff.

This has been a bad couple days for the RS pursuit of the Holy Grail.

First Cardiff beat Brighton to smash open the relegation battle and give themselves a real belief and desire going into Sunday’s game.

And City are now free to concentrate on just one thing.....retaining their title.

And Spurs who's squad is on it';s last legs will now have to rest players in the PL, and the smart thing would be to write the City game off.

What I have have had to do is bite my tongue because apparently calling out Wayno the proven liar and Davek the crank means you are a RS. It is like a nutter competition on here at times. A bizarre game of one one-upmanship in which we post conspiracy theories and ever more extreme lies that never get challenged because to do so will result in being branded a Liverpool supporter.

I have supported Everton all my life but do you know what I would rather be branded a Liverpool supporter than put up with the lies of Wayno or the pure hatred of Davek.

When does it become acceptable to hate people you have never known because they support another team. When has it become acceptable to brand another teams supporters a cult. When has it become acceptable to use the likes of Manson or West as a cheap jibe at supporters of other teams.

When did we sink so low. Why can't we accept that Liverpool are a decent team. Why do we have to come out with absolute rubbish about them having the FA, UEFA, the Police, the referees, VAR, the Tory government and even the Devil onside to thank for their victories.

It is so depressing.

I don't see an awful lot of hate on here mate. On the occasional visit to RAWK it's a qualitatively different experience, often personnel threats, aggression, insinuations of violence, out and out lies being told etc. Generally speaking what people do is report the nonsense here, as a safety mechanism against the abusive conduct of Liverpool supporters.

Whether deliberate or not, what your post is engaging in is a form of secondary victimisation of those people and a process of victim blaming. You really do need to learn to sort the problem out at source, which is the angry, narcissistic entitlement of Liverpool supporters and the continuum of abuse they use to operate towards Everton supporters.

As I have indicated I don't hate them, I only have fear really, that one day one of them will end up doing something really stupid towards myself or my loved ones. They have an excellent team but that is rather by the by in the grand scheme of things.

I come across countless numbers of them involved in the Tory party and worse still within far right organisations. You may think I am breaking some moral code to tell the truth about this, or be truthful about Evertonian's experience. If you do then I am afraid you are part of the problem and need to have a bit of a look at yourself. Standing up to violence and intimidation in a calm, measured but assertive way is the only way we overcome such people.

They could really win both in reality they are capable of beating anybody on the day.
doesn't bear thinking about :(

To be honest mate they've had another set of lucky draws. Barca are the first decent team they've played and expect will knock them out.

Lets be honest here, both the Madrid teams, Juventus and Manchester United would have knocked them out. Ajax would have stood a very good chance over two legs (albeit in a one off game you'd fancy Liverpool), PSG would knock them out too (and essentially did in the group games if you penned the scores into knock out results). They have been given rubbish like Porto to play (the weakest team in the draw by far) and a heavily depleted Bayern in the midst of a tradition.

I still expect them to win the same as us (again), nada. Which for all their championing about how great they are, and how terrible we are would be somewhat ironic.

The only thing the rs have guaranteed this season is qualifying for next seasons C/L. Everything else is either ongoing or been a failure.;)

hope your right ;)

Their new kit is class. Third in a row that has been top quality. Meanwhile Umbro continue to pump out comedy kits for us that look like training gear.

City going out was the worst result for them, I'm not sure why the baffoons don't see that. City now have two less games and all of a sudden no fixture crisis.
Tottenham I have just read already have 6 out for Saturday and with Brighton and West Ham at home to come, mentioned they will rest players Saturday and prioritise. That should be music to Citys wounded ears. The Tottenham game Saturday for me has gone from tricky but winnable to just winnable. The reds should be gutted City are out. Now they have a fixture pile up!! Idiots

that's why i was happy with them getting porto then barca, two extra games for no reason.

Why do you think this Utd side would knock Liverpool out, given how mediocre Utd are, plus Liverpool have never lost a 2 leg Euro tie under Klopp (10 ties)? Madrid & Juve, maybe yes, though given both lost to an unfancied, inexperienced Ajax, that wouldn't necessarily be a given.

why are they celebrating? If that was us i'd be gutted that they have extra rests for the league now. I'd be conscious enough to know they're not getting past barca, so that other semi is irrelevant.

Premature celebration is what that lot do best. They’ve already started up the media machine for how they’re capable of blowing Barca away. They never learn. Their arrogance is unbelievable. Losing at Red Star Napoli and PSG is all forgotten because they punted their way past Porto and that suddenly means they’re going to blitz Barcelona. This is the same side that needed a goalkeeper to throw it into the net to beat Fulham. Of course they’re capable of beating Barcelona but their unbelievable arrogance as usual is completely unfounded.

U being serious??!!

Yes. Hate them as much as we want but you can’t deny that their recent kits have been a lot better than some of the ones that came before it. Ours have been awful recently. Last years was a joke and the angry birds logo with the patterns on the sleeve makes this years look like a kids shirt.
