ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Why do you think this Utd side would knock Liverpool out, given how mediocre Utd are, plus Liverpool have never lost a 2 leg Euro tie under Klopp (10 ties)? Madrid & Juve, maybe yes, though given both lost to an unfancied, inexperienced Ajax, that wouldn't necessarily be a given.

Their record against United in serious competition (i.e. above the Europa League) (even under Klopp) is very ordinary. I think they bottle that game. They struggled to beat 10 men of United when they were missing 10 of their best players earlier this season.

United would of beaten them, they would of sat back and soaked up the pressure and nicked a goal on the counter.

Ironically how liverpool will probably play against barca

U being serious??!!
Yes. Hate them as much as we want but you can’t deny that their recent kits have been a lot better than some of the ones that came before it. Ours have been awful recently. Last years was a joke and the angry birds logo with the patterns on the sleeve makes this years look like a kids shirt.
The last decent kit we had was when Nike decided to bin us off, now were stuck with a brand that Sports direct may consider a "premium" brand. Their kit currently and the new one is so much better than anything we've had for a while and will have when we have Umbro as our kit provider.

In the grand scheme of the CL /sky/ the top 4; being in it next and subsequent seasons is what it's all about

They’ll continue to be in it as long as Klopp is there and their owners are spending world record fees on transfers. Arsenal won’t open the purse strings, United just cannot recruit properly, Abramovich has lost interest in Chelsea and Spurs are paying for the stadium. Liverpool and City are in an arms race against each other just paying top dollar for Europe’s sought after players and yet pundits seem surprised that these two are so far ahead of everyone else. They both just have blank cheque books. The best we can hope for is that Klopp makes some errors trying to replace players that might move into the Spanish giants and that they don’t challenge one year and he gets fed up and leaves a new manager with a poorer squad. His recruitment of first team players has been brilliant though (although it’s not hard when you can chuck world record fees at any player you want)

Ok just reading back a few pages - fans of all clubs are welcome here, providing;

A/ you play the game and follow our rules

B/ you don’t pretend to be a blue

Wind-up accounts once proven to be so will be permanently banned.

End of communication, over.

How are you defining proven? There are a few on here that will never be proven but clearly are tbf

To be honest mate they've had another set of lucky draws. Barca are the first decent team they've played and expect will knock them out.

Lets be honest here, both the Madrid teams, Juventus and Manchester United would have knocked them out. Ajax would have stood a very good chance over two legs (albeit in a one off game you'd fancy Liverpool), PSG would knock them out too (and essentially did in the group games if you penned the scores into knock out results). They have been given rubbish like Porto to play (the weakest team in the draw by far) and a heavily depleted Bayern in the midst of a tradition.

I still expect them to win the same as us (again), nada. Which for all their championing about how great they are, and how terrible we are would be somewhat ironic.

You say this as though City haven't been drawn against the women's balloon corps XI in pretty much every cup competition this year. Schalke in the last round for example, 14th in the German Creche league topped by an apparently 'poor' Bayern.

Remember his Dortmund meltdown? That's the best we can hope for. Pray to all the gods new and old.
