On Monday, three fines were issued to Liverpool, amounting to a total of 29,000 euros (£25,486) after fans set off fireworks in games against Manchester City and Roma, as well as "the throwing of objects, acts of damage and crowd disturbances".

So they received the biggest fine from UEFA for multiple incidents but there's no headline only one about Besiktas' cat and the one the other day about the Roma fans.

Let away with murder (sometimes literally).

Keita, Fabinho, Fekir

On paper those are huge upgrades and very impressive signings. Get a good goalie and CB and they have on paper the best squad they’ve had in absolutely ages. Hopefully some of them flop or can’t settle...

They seem to be very good at getting their business done early.

Hate to say it but Its scary how quickly they have built a quality side whilst we have gone backwards. We had arguably an equal side on paper around 2-3 seasons ago now we would get maybe 2-3 players in a combined 11.

They sold Coutinho for 142 million and bought an entire midfield for the same price.

From Milner,Henderson and Dutch guy to Keita Fabinho and Fekir is a vast upgrade,it's next level and those players are 23-24 years old.

Not sure how much they have to spend but they need a GK upgrade.

The problem they have is that they have one season to win something big now.

I agree with you that they're capable of it, but if they don't then they'll definitely lose Salah and probably lose Klopp.

The hope is that they've bought in too many in midfield at once and they don't gel.

On paper but Fabinho or Keita could flopp, no one knows how players adapt like Bakyaoko at Chelsea who was fantastic at Monaco. Losing Can for nothing is a bit of a blow who could probably fetch £30 million in the current daft market.

You have certainly improved in quick timing mind, just a shame City and Utd will also spend big.

It’s absolutely huge outlay by them. Can went for nothing. Milner has zero sell on value. They wouldn’t get their money back on Lallana. Yet they’ve come up with 60 Mill plus for Keita, 40 for Fabinho and 50 for Fekir after the 70 for VVD.

There’ll still be some blert in October claiming they’ve not spent anything and Klopp is working on a shoestring.

This summer is vital for us. Get it wrong and it's getting difficult to imagine how we'll ever close the gap.

Even ignoring this insane run of good transfers they are on, the gap has grown even further this summer with the news about CL revenues and today's news about the PL overseas split.

This should be the point of the year for unbridled optimism but they are ruining even that, with their fast start to the window shining unforgiving light on our 'sell to buy' policy.
