They have exceeded XG in every season under Klopp though. It isn't really that surprising teams that counter press and win the ball high up the pitch usually exceed XG. The other thing is that XG is just an average and the top players are always likely to be above XG.

As for VAR I keep hearing it being trotted out and then they play games that have VAR and it seems to come to their assistance rather than have a negative effect.

Is it just me that doesn't rate Mane? when I first watched him at Southampton I was genuinely amazed he was a professional footballer. VVD is the only one that is genuinely world class at the pit in my opinion, and he's still overrated.

I think he is an absolute bundle of energy and just stupidly effective and direct. The way he plays must be a coach's delight. Is he world class? I dunno, but I would have him before some world class players just for the way he works and allows others to play.

If the tables were reversed and Liverpool had just beaten Palace Spurs and United on the back of an 11 game winning run, were one point ahead of City and had Burnley Leicester and Brighton as remaining fixtures with City looking at games against Newcastle and Wolves plus a semi final v Barca, would the majority of the football media be pouring their efforts into loads of stories about how Liverpool were going to slip up against Burnley? Don’t think so.

Liverpool were getting more media credit after winning their first game of the season than City are getting now. That entire industry is a disgrace, set up exclusively to milk the fan bases of United and Liverpool. City beat United away in an absolutely massive game in the run in and the back pages were basically about United’s failings. Liverpool edge past some chumps at Anfield and there’s wall to wall coverage.

As I said alternative facts. Anyone who deosn't agree with the absolute drivel you post is obviously part of the conspiracy. It looks like they aren't going to win the league but you can't even enjoy that, you are so consumed with hatred it is untrue. We are on a great run have just battered United, have a good chance of finishing 7th and possibly getting into Europe and instead of enjoying it you are basically just hate preaching.
