If it is Ajax in the final against that lot,i am fearful for the repercussions fanwise.

I'd rather Ajax have a go at Liverpool than Tottenham. They beat Real Madrid and Juventus. I'd back full strength Tottenham but no Harry Kane and they've looked terrible the last few weeks, I'm not convinced Tottenham can beat them. Heck, Everton will probably take points off the Spurs at their ground this weekend.

Its unbelievable that Liverpool are favourites to win it while everyone else has capitulated around them. Just like their FA Cup and league cup wins.

...I haven’t seen one moment of it. I’m an avid news watcher, but my challenge today is to not watch a moment of coverage. Not sure how i’ll achieve it but I sure am going to try.
Oh I agree. Luckily I get my news from the Guardian app, so I just avoid clicking the pages about them.

Great post from one so young. I actually have undies older than you. lol

In the 20 years since he took over we've been to one cup final and won nothing. I don't even want to think about what the RS have won since then.

Since years take some weird significance I was also born the same year. Who the hell praises kenwright? No one does. That post is absolute stupidity.

I know mate,my point really was around the fans, two sets of maniacs in Madrid!!

One in the eye for the “fans don’t affect the players’ performances, they need to give us something to sing about” mob. Their fans have won them yet another big game by grinding their opposition into a fine dust at Anfield and elevating average players to believe they can do anything. Whatever we think of their fans as people, they believe in miracles and it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy because they keep happening. Teams can’t play there, they just disintegrate. No one is immune from it.

Maybe if we had their mentality we’d be a little bit better. Not saying we’d be amazing and not saying it’s the only reason they’re good, but maybe we’d be just a little bit better. Maybe we’d have won a cup in the last two decades.

BUT WE HAVE PRIDE AND PAY FOR TICKETS FOR FANS AFFECTED BY WIND.

What a time to keep the telly off full stop !
Indeed, God bless smartphones. Whilst people believe it's worse these days due to wall to wall media coverage about them it's also easier to avoid (apologies to all still residing on Merseyside I know you can't avoid it)

Fair play, for all the mockery aimed at them by us they've battered a Barcelona team that very few expected to crumble like they did and deserve their place in the final.

City will win the league, Liverpool will win the CL, it is what it is and thankfully I'm not surrounded by them like a lot of you are so it's easy for me to say I guess. It's a good result and they deserved it, to say they were lucky or make excuses as to how they fluked it through would be a bit embarrassing.
