ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

In a weird way it might been better if it stayed at 1-0 from the first leg.

3-0 and everyone knew their role and the potential to lose a 3 goal lead ramped up the pressure on the barca bottlers. A one goal lead and it could have been a more 'normal' game.

I admit I'm in the dark about Ajax because I know jack about the Eredivisie.

as for why I've not been protesting about Everton, I can't. I literally can't. I hate going on demos. They give me panic attacks and I'm not going to magically get us into the Big 6 by having a meltdown. And I know this is not a good thing to say here but it's not top of my concerns right now.

If it had been 1-0 then it wouldn´t have made a difference. Barcelona were awful and nothing was going to change that. A woefully under prepared team in their biggest game of the season.

Advice needed...

Thinking City would get to Madrid I edged my bets and booked 6 return flights to Madrid and a posh 3 twin bed rooms and master kingsize bed room and 2 bed settees apartment. I want to sell as a package for obvious reasons.

Where is the best place to advertise this to Liverpool fans, in the Echo?... Thanks in advance

Make sure you absolutely rinse them, whatever you paid treble it. Try Facebook, one of those buy and sell Liverpool groups or sign up to RAWK some southern beaut will remortgage his house for you

Every game they have with lesser opposition this season (like everyone else) I hope they lose or draw. It just doesn't happen. Unfortunately they've won this trophy. Sickening. I just hope this gives our players a kick up the arse for next season.

BTW, the absolute piss take if Liverpool lose to Ajax or Spurs after this?

They'd never recover...and it's a real possibility.

Big night...loads of plaudits for them...but they;ve won sweet f.a.

That is the reality. They will be convinced tonight was the final. Whoever they face in the actual final will be stiff opposition.

You mean Spurs.
Updated to reflect current season rankings

Assume City (1st) are the best team in a 32 team competition. Everton are 8th best, Huddersfield 20th and the top 12 sides in the Championship make up the rest

This is how lucky Liverpool get in their progess to the two finals.

Last season - ranked 22nd. Let's say they are Sheffield United. They draw the 4th seed of 5 in the qualifier....

They go into Pot 3 and lose the FA Cup Final equivalent by getting past

Everton Bournemouth and Swansea

Knock Out. Burnley, Newcastle, Leeds and then lose to Man City in the Final....

This season. They are Brighton ranked 17/32..

They draw Wolves, Newcastle and Brentford and scrape out the group stages.

They beat Spurs (4), Watford and Chelsea

In the final - based on rankings - they face either 21 Norwich or 15 Burnley.....

I realise, superficially this is a bit silly and they have achieved a lot but this shows how much luck plays its part

We demand more from the club. It’s what they have done for years. We’ve just sat back and allowed the decline.

Exactly....

Our fans applauded lukaku as some sort of "please stay" begging act after he gave what was seemingly his last "Someone please buy me" plea... our fans should have had his balls on a plate well before then.

We had pictures of kenwright applauded after 15 years of firesales and the reliance of mid table football to exist as a club. City's owners were interested in us and got jibbed off, we lost kings dock.....

No one is bigger than the club - Liverpool have got that right under klopp, and the fans act in unison with that.

Apathy has taken Everton to where we are. Accepting crap, targeting the wrong players for stick when you have mercenaries strolling around. Liverpool had 5 or 6 leaders on the pitch last night. Funny..... in my original lukaku rant days I said Origi would be a better player than he was - he gave a better performance last night than I have ever seen from lukaku.....

Try the Oslo Times or the London Evening Standard. Hell try the Kuala Lumpar Buy and Sell before the Echo.

I'm lost now. Whose coach do they attack and whose wall gets pushed over?
