ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I love it. You have even picked up our lingo!! :)

As posted elsewhere I predict City to finish the job this weekend and Spurs or Ajax to beat them in a one off final.

Not sure why but my confidence regarding tonight is growing (will probably come back to bite me on the arse). Aurier, Lamela & Vertonghen back/available. Son WELL rested. Get through and Kane & Winks could possibly be ready.

God, the amount of sphincters packing up and going home on here...

City are NOT letting the league go now. They've won 13 games on the bounce, with huge pressure on the last few. Brighton went a month without scoring and almost never keep clean sheets, even when they were parking the bus in a desperate attempt to rake in enough draws to stay up.

And then we get the 'Woe, woe and thrice woe' about how Ajax are a bunch of kids who would get played off the park. They beat Juventus, who lots of people on here were convinced would win the thing this year. And Madrid, who brushed the RS aside last year.

Yes, it's POSSIBLE they could win the double. But out of the two scenarios I still reckon it's more likely they win neither

And if they do win the CL again, it's much much better than them getting the Prem. The difference between 'Five Times!' and 'Six Times!' isn't that much. The 30 years without the league is much, much better...

Man up. I loathe the murdering inbred savages with an absolute passion, but I'm not afraid of them.

And let's also stop this talk about how inferior we are because we're so far behind them on the pitch. We're not inferior in any way shape or form. I'm proud to have had a season ticket for 30 years watching a team who deliver unfettered crap year after year. There is a badge of honour in supporting a team through thin and thin! Better by far than being entitled and spoilt. We. Are. Better. Than. Them. That is all
.
I feel the same about Everton. OK, we're not as good as Liverpool but Everton are and always will be my team, whatever happens.

If I was Guardiola, last night would make me even more determined not to screw up. I think some of us are worried because City were poor against Leicester - who are better than BHA, yes - and nearly blew it.

You mean Spurs.
Well yeah. Obviously but, since Spurs might be a bigger challenge for them remember how they tend to waltz through the weaker option. A full strength Spurs is a different prospect....

Bruges for example. AT WEMBLEY

Maybe you read my comment on their progess to the final last year.

One in the eye for the “fans don’t affect the players’ performances, they need to give us something to sing about” mob. Their fans have won them yet another big game by grinding their opposition into a fine dust at Anfield and elevating average players to believe they can do anything. Whatever we think of their fans as people, they believe in miracles and it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy because they keep happening. Teams can’t play there, they just disintegrate. No one is immune from it.

Maybe if we had their mentality we’d be a little bit better. Not saying we’d be amazing and not saying it’s the only reason they’re good, but maybe we’d be just a little bit better. Maybe we’d have won a cup in the last two decades.

No mate. Terry from Widnes pays his money and therefore is entitled to shout whatever he wants.

In fairness, we didn't. We'd have drawn if Pickford hadn't made a knob of himself.

Also, Everton have proved this year that fans do make a difference. Goodison being behind the team has helped, a lot.
