ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

After my previous posts, do you really need me to explain that? We wouldn’t be having this conversation if @davek wouldnt have accused me of being one of them. He sits in his chair and watches it, maybe he buys merchandise. He’s a fan. I’m a supporter, there’s a difference. I support my team, vocally and financially, not to mention the time put in supporting them. I make huge sacrifices supporting this team. He doesn’t, other than the odd 90mins in front of a monitor, yet he calls me out on my support because I have a different opinion to his, albeit, an opinion that not many like. He’s just a keyboard warrior and an example of the modern day fan, one that sits in front of a computer all day coming out with drive and nonsense.

On behalf of the entire EFC fan base, other than the 39000 who go to the match, thanks.

Now, just noticed this is the Liverpool thread. So lets all stop tearing lumps out of each other in here, after all, we have plenty of threads quite capable of allowing that.

LOL

Consider yourself lucky you’re able to go .... I’m sure most of us on here would love to be in a similar position, doesn’t make you a better supporter.

It makes me a supp

I apologise, it’s @davek fault for accusing me of following ‘them’ for having a different opinion. It’s hard to take that of someone that doesn’t even go the match and is just a keyboard, armchair fan. I’ll leave it now.

Never known anything like it, everyone around me in bolton is buzzing for them, some even wanting to go to the final.....this from the same fans who cant stand United for all the jcl’s and glory weapons!!!!!

lol

Genuinely made me laugh. There are plenty of Liverpool fans who have never been to a game in their lives wanting to go to the final too. Why are they breaking the habit of a lifetime?

There is no other football club in the world, that I support. I'm an Evertonian born and bred, simple as. Yes it was good when the Mancs where winding them up but that was all. I can't be doin with all these whoppers who jump on other teams bandwagons. They're just what me arl fella used to call them when I was young. Glory hunters! They just wanna be associated with the success of the time, they've got no true identity in a football sense. Neighbours wives who are not even into football revelling in the RS,s results and raming it down your throat because you say your not bothered. I don't support them, I support Everton. Having said all that, if there is one club in the world I have a very soft spot for, it's Ajax. I think it stems from Cryuff and the others when I was growing up. Will it bother me if they go out to Spurs. Not a lot. But if they make it to the final, do I want them to win it. Yes because of who they're playing and I'd want any other team on the planet to win it because of who else is in it. Because of the neighbours wives of this world and the rest of the glory hunters is what I dislike so much about them.
It is a loyalty test, supporting a crap team. Being the only girl in my year who supported Everton - most were United or Liverpool - wasn't fun. I've got mates who support teams like Hull and Forest. But Everton's relative crapness makes it all the more sweeter when we do win.

I wouldn't mind Ajax winning, just for a change. I never watched them but I did like the Dutch NT back in the '90s.

Who are you to decide what’s a supporter? What if someone has been going the game for years, and then decided to stop going? Does their opinion become worthless the moment they make that personal decision to stop going? I’m very interested to know this.
I'm one of those. I used to go the game but can't anymore. I have valid reasons for not going.
