ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

In typical Liverpool FC fashion, just as, we were all buzzing about them winning nothing this season after being humiliated by Barcelona, they may well lose out today but will likely be able to proclaim themselves champions of Europe in three weeks, ffs.
I can just about cope with them winning the CL, we shouldnt have to but messi is a bottler. The league though, no way can i deal with that

The champions league has lost, a lot of it's prestige anyway.A team that hasn't won the league in nearly 60 years, and a team that hasn't won it in nearly 30 years in the final.lol Hopefully City do their job today.A world where that lot are league champions, is a prospect that's just way too horrific to comprehend!

Ive accepted they've won the champions league and that should be messi's permanent legacy the little fraud. Its spurs, no way do they turn up when it matters, they are tge us that went to a slightly better school, but us all the same

He did the job in the 1st leg and Dembele sould have finished the tie. The 2nd leg was about preventing the opposition from scoring more than 2 goals which doesn't rely on Messi.

Let down by vastly inferior teammates last week which also happens when he's with his national side.

The moment his team isnt on top he shrugs his shoulders, it was a really pathetic display from him, he was the exact same against roma

The good old impartial BBC are going with this as their top story.
I was just about to post that.

If / when City win it today, expect a headline like this:

"Liverpool Make History With Historic 2nd Place Points Total!!"

The BBC are an utter disgrace. They rabidly back Liverpool no matter what the circumstances. It's the propaganda wing of LFC.

Everyone knows it, not just us. Everyone's on to them.

What's all this 'the odds are stacked in their favour for the CL' business about? Bloody hell, it's second playing third, on a neutral ground, with the third place team having been only a terrible penalty decision and a goalkeeping freak away from drawing twice. The 'second placed team' might be slight favourites in this scenario, I grant you, but 'stacked' in their favour? Come on, we're better than this...

I admit to being very nervy about the City game, but I really can't see any way on this earth City won't score against Brighton in an hour and a half of trying. Brighton simply don't score goals. The league must be done.

And the CL is practically a coin toss for me.
The title is safely under lock and key at the Etihad. It;s staying there.

Brighton will be blown away by HT.

This will end any score City want.

For me: Brighton 1-4 City.

The CL final is an absolue toss up. Spurs are a team that's had way higher placed finishes in the PL over Liverpool in the previous 4 seasons to this. Liverpool have had one of their freak seasons when they challenge - and fail. But that'll be it. The season ends and then we have almost a month to see them and Spurs re-emerge for a game anyone could win. It's practically an early pre-season game on June 1st.

Spurs can - and I believe will - win that.
