ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Being a United fan, I cannot be as happy as you are. Just scared from the fact that they can push on next season and we are still out of top 4 given the circumstances.

Push on? They were gifted about 20 points this season from incorrect decisions. They'll still get some of them of course, but clear as day offsides can't be hidden by any officials. The officials will see that their helping hands keep getting overturned and start to feel there's no need.

Everything went in their favour, just as it did the last time they were in a title race, I said it before, if we got that amount of luck and fortune even we'd have won the prem by now. They've massively over achieved, they can't improve in any way, City were worse this season than last and they still bottled it.

It's been well documented that they've never won the league since they used to kill football exploiting the back pass rule. I said at the start of the season VAR will have a similar detrimental effect and this season would be their last chance. They've reached their ceiling now.

Also this media BS about best season ever, best title race ever is utter nonsense. Where were the twist and turns? Both teams just won every week, it really wasn't exciting, exciting is one team losing then the other, momentum swings etc. This season was city blowing pretty much every team away and the RS' dull 8 man defence keeping clean sheets and relying on pure luck to scrape 1 goal wins.

Two teams were relegated early with only Brighton's horrific end of season form meaning the last spot went deep into the season.

The top 4 battle lacked a hell of a lot of quality and the overall quality from most was poor imo.

The prem could still be around in 100 years and the city v united title chase will never be beaten.

My main worry is that, after the Gerrard slip and now this, they're going to run out of entertaining ways in which to blow the title. I for one cannot wait for next season and their annual battle to avoid being crowned champions.

Haha season they blew a 5 point lead with 3 games to go (including a 3 goal lead in ten mins) and the other season they blew a 10 point lead.

Tbh I don’t believe in such theories. It always looks like that when a team wins as I remember very well how rival teams use to taunt (Howard Web)us whenever we won the league. There’s no conspiracy here and I don’t think luck lasts entire season in league and CL. I am not that daft to disapprove that they were brilliant this season. If they win CL, expect couple of more big signings and given their recent track record, those will be successful signings. I don’t see any positive here tbh, yes they didn’t win it but they sure did enjoy the season more than us.
