ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

What they don't recognise in the first joke is that it's not just damaging for women but also for scousers. That our collective view is that domestic violence is a laughing matter. Completely stupid. Especially as most of the people singing it will not even be from Liverpool.

The 2nd is equally as damaging if you think of it in any sort of adult manner. It implies raising concerns about racism is "shithousery". Also the idea that if you are racially abused more than one you become a less credible witness also has extremely problematic implications.

It's stuff like that why I don't take their often (confused and misguided) left wing pleas very seriously. It's completely phoney for the most part. When any issue emerges where they can't give themselves a pat on the back they resort to type.
I don't think it's really a left wing issue or a right issue, of even a Kopite issue. I think a lot of the supposedly progressive and left wing ideas people promote, not just Liverpool fans is really just meaningless virtue signalling. The way a lot of male sports stars treat women and male celebrities in general is appalling, also there isn't one openly gay footballer in the premier league despite all the clubs claiming to oppose homophobia. The amount of rape cases involving sports teams in America is appalling, in fact I think there was even a case when somebody investigating sexual abuse of sports players at a university in America who got killed. I think it's just sports tends to attract a macho and tribal culture, which leads to all these problems.

Push on? They were gifted about 20 points this season from incorrect decisions. They'll still get some of them of course, but clear as day offsides can't be hidden by any officials. The officials will see that their helping hands keep getting overturned and start to feel there's no need.

Everything went in their favour, just as it did the last time they were in a title race, I said it before, if we got that amount of luck and fortune even we'd have won the prem by now. They've massively over achieved, they can't improve in any way, City were worse this season than last and they still bottled it.

It's been well documented that they've never won the league since they used to kill football exploiting the back pass rule. I said at the start of the season VAR will have a similar detrimental effect and this season would be their last chance. They've reached their ceiling now.

Cue next seasons alternative table showing 'League position with no VAR' (n)

If there’s one thing I love right now it’s going on Facebook and seeing Liverpool fan pages pop up in my feed bleating about city for one reason or the other.

‘They sang songs about us’
‘They had a trophy presentation at 11pm with no mics and the sound was dreadful’
‘They bought the league’
‘My dad wants to wear a city shirt for our BDSM sessions’

Straight in my veins.
It’s really hurting bad. Even those who would not normally indulge in banter are fuming. Some cannot understand why we are mocking them.

‘My dad wants to wear a city shirt for our BDSM sessions’
*dies and is dead*

Also, wtf, City weren't singing about Sean Cox. And I could have sworn I saw kopites call Zouma the n-word on Twitter. I know they worshipped Tommy Smith and he didn't like black people very much.

One of them though, why even sing about them after winning the league? Sing about your own club. There isn't a bigger attention seeking fanbase around, they think the world revolves around them. Somebody knocks over a glass in town and they should donate to the Sean Cox fund. You know nobody should be getting attacked at a football match, what happened to that fella was a disgrace and the people who did it should be doing some serious jail time. I seriously doubt anybody is mocking him one way or another.

We've certainly entered in to a new ''banter'' phase in football though. Don't remember it all being so small time. It's been far nastier in the past but these days in the age of social media everybody is a bad flump. Every one scrambling for likes and thumbs up and in the mean time everything gets blown wildly out of proportion.
It's why I'm not on Twitter anymore. I'm glad I deleted it.

Defo adopting City as my 2nd team.

That's pure anger from City players at being portrayed for months and months by the media as a nuisnace who wouldn't let Liverpool break their PL duck. They earned the right to vent about that. That has to have been aimed at the BBC and the other Liverpool cheerleader football media who obviously and desperately denied City any fair coverage. I hope they all watch it and it grinds their gears even more.

That song is about Kiev, not Sean Cox. Typical them though I'm not even surprised anymore.

The fact that they're using his tragedy as a weapon speaks volumes about them. They know fully well that City players would never sing a song about him. "Hey Sergio, fancy singing a song to take the piss out of that Sean Cox fella? As if that would ever happen!!". They're using one of their own getting stabbed to gain some weird, imaginary moral high ground on the internet.
This is a new low for them and that's saying something!
