....went for my Racing Post this morning and 2 women were in conversation;
Woman 1; “getting me flag and banner for me house today. Did you see that homecoming parade for City?”
Woman 2: “ye, there was nobody there. That’s because their support is from all over, they’re not like us, we’re all proper scousers”.
Women 1:”and they’re being reported for racism”.
Just caught a snippet of John Barnes on Talk Sport, he had me in tears. Went something along the lines of 'even if Tottenham beat them in Madrid, while they wont have won a trophy, what an incredible journey they've had. Trophies are just for fans, everyone at the club will know it's been the best season ever for Liverpool!'
Yes John, better than the treble winning seasons of Paisley and Benitez etc. Winning nothing with 97 points is hurting them badly, they'll bang on about it for years.
I'll just leave that there...
Or teams with the most captains. Haven't we had 4-5 different ones this season? Baines, Jags, Davies, Coleman and whoever it was against Burnley.If everton had a point for every gash player they'd sent out on loan, we'd have won it.
I don’t want either to leave. They’re both playing at their absolute max, they can’t get any better, it’s more likely that they won’t have as good a season next year. Salah has already failed to hit the heights of last season.
I want their big players to get stuck on mega contracts with Liverpool unable to shift them on. As soon as either of them lose a yard of pace they’ll be practically worthless. What we dont want is for what happened with Coutinho where they got a huge fee for him and got to reinvest it in first team players.
We need this team to keep missing out and get to a scenario where the owners can’t afford to buy without selling a mega star but the stars have declined to the point no one wants them for big money.
Tony Evans article misses the target by some distance. Collectively I think they’ve lost it big time. Scraping the barrel with this comment: “A generation of Evertonians has grown up to believe that the Heysel stadium disaster ended their team’s hopes of being one of England’s dominant clubs.”
