Anyway, not normally one to buy into any conspiracy nonsense, but in the last few hours I've seen two of the most disingenuous twisting of comments and quotes made in relation to events of the past week or so.
First, there was this from the Echo, that I've called out:
I covered Pep's presser today. I wrote the transcript. I know that he did not apologise for the chant. The Echo have somehow twisted two City statements with vehemently denied the allegations into apologies. It's disgusting and I honestly hope City sue every journalist whose printed the story for libel. They wouldn't do because of the PR, because it's Liverpool, but if they chose to, there is no chance they would not win in a court.
Second, this from Dom King. A guy I'm sure is sound and I really respect for his good coverage of Everton. We all know he's one of the reliable ones. So for him to then turn and say something like this, quoting an article which has merged quotes together to change a line (which you just don't do - yes, you have a bit of freedom, but you can't change a point that was made).
My comments are in the chain for anyone interested.
Proper sick of it. It shouldn't be allowed.
I will make it clear here that in no way do I blame the club. Yeh, we hate them as rivals but as far as I'm aware, Liverpool the club have publicly said nothing and done nothing wrong. We'll see if that changes like when Klopp gets asked about it in the next few weeks.
