This article is brilliant and fascinating and details just how poorly that club heave treated their own all in the quest for success. It should never be forgotten. It’s an absolute disgrace and no less. It doesn’t get much worse than purposely destroying the neighbourhood your core fans live in for money.

I lived in Anfield when that all started, it was the speed of the decline that was frightening. It wasn't gradual, from Blessington to Breck road it was a true unmanaged and deliberate decline.
