They despise anything or anyone that takes any attention whatsoever away from them. Seeing as they don’t win anything now they only maintain their sense of relevance by how much media attention they can garner. It’s only Henderson who is in the England first 11 so they’re therefore all on board the ‘lets Scapegoat Pickford’ train.
Shouldn't they be happy about Pickford jeopardising England's chances of getting through, since they're all Scouse Not English and hate England?

Coutinho and Suarez both did the same. A year of astronomical wages then a big transfer fee next summer. Bye Mo.

I think the obligatory contract extension at the pit is away of the players saying “give me a release clause coz I’m off when the big boys come calling”

I’ll still prepare for the solution media posts of hows a kopite through and through and will never leave

Just hope he goes to city for the giggles

Just watching BBC news, they were showing the England team, training. and the camera never moved off Horrenderson, why ffs.
I've never heard any convincing explanation as to why he's seen as crucial to Liverpool or England. No one can sit down and give that explanation is my guess. He's a victory of presentation over substance. He looks important to a set up but isn't in actuality.

Watching Croatia Denmark, apart from Lovren, no player there has any connection to Liverpool or Everton. Within 5 minutes of watching though, the commentator had mentioned Mo Salah twice and also managed to mention us being beaten 5-1 by Atalanta. The media cannot put their obsession aside even for the World Cup. Salah exited as a no mark with Egypt barely making an impression yet he’s still getting more media coverage than the top players who are still in the cup. Obsession.

The reports I heard are that Liverpool wanted to tie him down for a longer deal during last season and this is a shorter one.

If they had any sense they'd sell him now. We've reached peak Salah. Just look at his career up to this point. Last season sticks out like a sore thumb.

He will be found out as soon as he is up against top quality opposition just like he was in the CL final. How quickly people have forgotten Gerrard and Henderson chasing after a geriatric Pirlo who dictated the games in 2012 and 2014 from his Zimmer frame with ease.

I think one of the reasons England didn't bring a midfield creative force with them is that Southgate laughably sees Henderson as a capable box to box player. I'm looking forward (should England get that far) to seeing him come up against that Croatian midfield.
