ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Many of our own were calling a strong CL run last summer. They were far from deluded and ended up correct - we reached the CL final.

We'll challenge again for one of the two major trophies, if not both. We challenged for one last season, and expect to do so again this season. Some Liverpool fans are at their loudest right now but it's not like there is no substance behind it, considering we reached the final of the biggest club competition on the planet. If we were shouting out about the teams quality without any evidence of it's talent, then fair enough but that is anything but.

As for the bookies having us as 2nd faves, they opened us as 2nd faves two weeks before last season was to end. Quite a long way from when we made the signings we did. We've genuinely had absolutely no influence on the market and it's plain crazy to suggest so.

There are many neutrals who adore us
. During our CL run, i visited many European club forums. They all respect us greatly and were rooting for us through the whole route. The likes of Inter, Milan, Real Madrid and others. The combination of our support, atmosphere, playing style and Klopp has enamoured most neutrals all around Europe. A bit like Dortmund a few years back, everyone has taken to us all over Europe.
Your whole club is draped in narcissism and this is a prime example.

One of my legendary posts is getting renewed attention

First claim: Markovic indeed WAS A flop. Correct call.

Second claim: They are al now proclaiming the signing of Allison to be the biggest upgrade of any player in football history. An 'insane' upgrade according to one poster on here. An stonewall correct call.

Third claim: Back 4. Coleman comfortably better than Glenn Johnson. Baines better than Enrique. Jagielka and Distin at that time were better than Sakho and Lovren. Certainly close. Not a bad shout at all.

McCarthy and Barry as a combination were better than Stevie G (who had just lost them league in one of the worst bottling jobs the league has seen, his lack of pace was woefully exposed as well). Hendo was Hendoeque as always. Just an average Joe being average. Hard pressed to say this was the wrong call.

Sterling better than Mirallas was WRONG! That's why Sterling left. lollol

Barkley was second best attacking midfielder. Coutinho turned out to be awesome. That's why he left. lollol

Lukaku was definitely the best forward. Lest someone wants to claim Borini, Sturridge or Lambert was better? Nope didn't think so.

We were just incredibly unlucky with injuries that year.

A pretty good post that holds up very well all these years later.

You have to do an update for this season mate.

Typical Gob***e. Lifpool are despised by every self respecting football fan other than their own. They say were bitter that's the irony of the whole situation. Cant wait to see them finish miles behind in the title race again. James you're a clown lad

I would guess that other fans have said that they admire the way that Liverpool played during the champions league last season and to be fair I think everyone did, including most of us Everton fans, they were unstoppable in the right mood and against the right opposition (who had a go at them), I don't think that extends anywhere near to them adoring you, in fact I would have said it with gritted teeth as I detest your club

Yeah, I can other fans writing or meaning that they admired the way Liverpool played. The idea they are 'adored' however is, as someone else said, narcissistic and delusional in equal measure!

I suppose you idiots just need to lose the FA Cup Final this year to celebrate a clean sweep of losing every possible final to seek your position of latest trophy of winning without actually winning anything at all. Beaten by City in League Cup Final, finished fourth in the league, beaten by Seville in Europa Cup, beaten by sheer chance and bad luck by Madrid in the funniest evening of my year so far.....so my old mucka that just leaves the FA Cup for you to lose in the final this year yet somehow tell us you won without winning to do the whole job lot.

Shameful post lad. I can categorically assure you that your lack of humility is the one reason you will never have the respect that your club so desperately craves.

Hahahahaha. Please, go and boil your head. I can assure you for every fan that "adores" you, there are 10 that despise you and your vile club.

no james...i live in Germany, Klopp's gurning already became unbearable when he was a regular pundit years ago, he's not as well-liked as he thinks he is, which means he's a good fit for his current club.

Liverpool I admit got some interest here when Suarez was tearing it up, but once he left that interest cooled again. Klopp's attempts to get close to Rodgers' or Benitez' successes has failed so far, so the German fan isn't really noticing much. And that's saying something as many German football fans enjoy following the Prem: but it's all Man City, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea. Liverpool only from BVB fans who want to know what Klopp's up to, and Spurs/Everton from the hipstery contingent.
